Amazing facts, nobody believes

Well the 'fact' is that it can LIVE on for a couple of weeks. That doesn't mean it knows what to do or how to do it. Pretty much like your average Orient fan really.

Come to think of it... Orient... Cockroaches... seems so obvious now!

Cockroaches are also the only living things on earth that can survive a nuclear explosion.

Dunno if the same thing happens to Orient fans though...

i can confirm that this is actually true. Unfortunately i know this first hand.

Tourists visiting Iceland should know that tipping at a restaurant is considered an insult.

Forest fires move faster uphill than downhill.

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain (Just like some men I know....) :D

2 unemployed gentlemen from Southend-on-Sea were professional footballers for 24 hours in the early part of the 20th century, signed for 2 different clubs, and were summarily dismissed, in order to facilitate Harold Halse's transfer for Southend United to Newton Heath whilst getting round a maximum transfer fee limit.

Here is another one : fold a piece of paper in half 30 times (or cut in half, then put one of the halves on top and do it again and again).

It will be thick enough to reach the moon.

Working on a pevious posters 0.1mm theory, I reckon this would be 33 miles.
Im asurethe moon looks big someday but i dont think its that close.

okay my amazing fact that no one will believe is the longest word I can spell (with no help from a dictionary or wikipedia)

pneumonultrasiliconvolcanoconiosis.

no such thing

The longest word in any of the major English language dictionaries is pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis, a 45-letter word which refers to a lung disease contracted from the inhalation of very fine Silicon dioxide particles specifically from a volcano. Research has discovered that this word was originally a hoax. It has since been used in a close approximation of its originally intended meaning, lending at least some degree of validity to its claim.

I stand corrected :o
