Not Vital Football Rumours but the other Football Rumours rubbish website has a bit about Southend United dealings at the bottom of its page today. Can't be bothered to post the link, but the site is football-rumours.co.uk I think, if you want to look yourself.

From memory it says that Bailey is Palace or Charlton bound for £500k

Gower is off to Leicester (managerless Leicester)

Flippy-Flappy Flip-Flop is going to Northampton for £70k

Simon Francis to Palace for £200k

Anybody coming in will be on a free.

The "bull****" rumours like Gower to Swansea (confirmed interest from Roberto Martinez) and Clarke to Southend (not been ruled out by Tilson, player made available by Brian Laws)?

The site isn't to everyone's taste, but I think the fact that at least two of their rumours look to have a good chance of happening means that it can be considered to be a reasonable source with at least some knowledge of what is going on.

I believe the site owner is on holiday at the moment, stories will start going back up when he returns.
