According to our faviourite Southend United rumours website we are chasing Oakes, who has been released by Cardiff, as well as Russell Hoult.

Haven't seen enough of Oakes recently to make to much of a comment on this, but he has impressed me in previous showings.

Also, Harrold is being looked at by Hereford, Huddersfield and Darlington.

The Andy Cole link has been all but confirmed by the press this weekend with Andy Cole's agent refusing to deny the link. We hope more on this story will break in the next few days

Won't give much credence to a site that spells Flahavan, Flahaven.
 
I'll tell you where they got this story from. On the Andy Cole thread on here not so long ago i mentioned as an aside he'd just been released and maybe we should look into it. I don't think it'll happen and i think its bollocks.

I think the guy who writes for this site has realised he winds you all up with his nonsense and is now having a good old laugh at your expense.

If he has sorted out his attitude like the article suggests I would definitely be willing to give him another chance. Him and Barney could work well together. Though this is coming from that cr@p site again, so is probably another rumour we can strike off the list..
