Cant wait for the replay myself. God please, please, please let Aldershot win and you miss out on Promotion because of it. Plymouth have always been and will always be a bigger club than The Thams Estuary Galacticos.

Oxford have been and always will be a bigger club than you. What winds me up about you lot is the whinging. Any tin pot lawyer will tell you, you have a case. as he wants your money.

Low and behold when you lose and you have a bill cant wait. Aldershot did not do this on purpose, it happens. Nice to see you have a Scummer on here as well, Come on the Skates.

You sad little insignificant amoeba, just go away! :finger2:

Sorry but you lot are just like the programme. If you have the Balls take Aldershot to the small claims court. Cant wait for the results.

Hope the banks are staying open for the next 6 months so the massive support you have can cash your Cheques. A real big club is Plymouth in our division, The crap they have been through, club, players ,Fans. And they brought more to us than you lot (dee dums you got held up on the M25 with the tickets you sent back) Aldershot are Second division.
In 20 years they got from Istmian div 3 through the pyramid and have the right to be League Status and yes I will admit in a Conference ground. You lot will fold as soon as you go out of the League and I hope and pray it happens.

Sorry to real Southend Fans, as there are some of you but god most of you are big girls Blouses

ANDYKN YES of course you did by getting a replay and us thrashing you. Only thing of note that happened in the replay your Mickey mouse pitch ended the career in England of a fine player

Happy new Year

Someone please red rep this imbecile for me!
He talks utter nonsense (more than me and i have 5400 posts under my belt) and is obviously ******** if he thinks his sh**house 2nd favourite team are gonna beat us without turning the lights out!

Any tin pot lawyer giving advice is likely to be doing so on a pro bono basis, presumably driven by a sense of justice rather than a desire to make money.

Maybe if you adopted a more conciliatory manner on here you'd too have friends who'd be willing to give a bit of advice for free?

Oxford have been and always will be a bigger club than you.

And this quote says it all, any football fan other than a head up their own *** , pigs*** thick Premiership following twunt would know a little bit about lower league history and realise that statements like that are truly laughable.

Andykn – I see you’re arguing the point about “this and that” in terms of getting your money back and then go on to make a guess when the argument turns to being “who is the bigger club” saying: “Even then, I suspect we brought more when we played there the first time than Plymouth did”.

I understand that as a Galacticos fan, it’s in your nature to randomly make up figures and have guesses based on you being the biggest club in the world, but can I suggest you spend a little time researching facts before you randomly make up things to suit your arguments – at the very least it confirms the stereotypical image we’re getting of your clubs fan base…

2010-11 season, the Thames Estuary Galacticos brought 774 supporters a distance of 88.1 miles (1 hour 40 minutes) and this season, you brought 690.

This season, Plymouth brought 1093 supportersfor an earlier kick off, and travelled a distance of 186.8 miles (3 hours 38minutes) and they’re bottom of the league.

I hope you look into the facts a little better when you’re taking our club to the Small Claims Court or you might find out you’ve wasted more of your time and money.

Anyway, wouldn’t the Small Claims Court be a bit of a tinpot court for you to take us too – I’d suggest the European Court of Human Rights, far more worthy of supporters like you.

Finally got an answer from Aldershot this afternoon - not helpful!:

I do understand your frustration and the difficulty’s that has posed for lots of people , not only ourselves .

WE do have the conditions of refund listed in our Charter and also the fact that the Ground Regulations that are posted on all entrances to the ground do also state the case if we do have an abandonment .

We have only just had confirmation from Southend as to the re-arranged date and we are going to reply to all complaints .
You will soon see that we are offering discounted entry to the re-arranged game to try and help those supporters who travelled both home and away .

We cannot do anymore in terms of refunds than those which club policy and league policy’s

And someone needs to send the bloke on a course on the proper use of the apostrophe!

I travel more than 12000 miles each season to watch Aldershot play at home and away. And I remember only too well our game at Darlington, a couple of years ago, being called off at 1230hrs when we had been 'promised' that the game would go ahead.

I had left home in Wales at 0600hrs to the haunting call of my wife, 'you're mad...it's snowing'.....I returned at 2200hrs to the sound of, 'I told you that it was madness to go'. The roads north were ok and the snow on the roadside fields had disappeared by the time I entered Yorkshire....I then watched from the warmth of the Directors Box as some idiot of a referee called the game off when to everyone watching his ball juggling skills...the pitch looked fine.

Put it down to experience ....it may even make your win on the 31st just a bit sweeter....on the other hand we may surprise you. Then just think how bad you will feel.....it's football...relax.

A well written blog ASFW - congratulations. I think it was more the attitude and the principal than the money that is concerning us.

I think if ATFC had immediately come out and said "it's our fault - we'll give you a 50% refund" most of us would have said "fair enough" - especially given that is what our own club's policy is. To give us 50% off a match a lot of us won't be able to attend (as it's on a working day - not a bank holiday) is a pretty poor alternative. Still I wish you no harm - provided, that is, your lot appease the footballing Gods and roll over in the replayed game!

Not sure about the Oxford reference, after all, they have the new stadium factor.

I'd love to see the policeman's face when you tell him "it happens" when you're next pulled over for speeding. Great defence.

You appear to understand little. I went to both matches and was of the opinion that we took far more the first time than the second. Backed up by things like it was much easier to park, get in and get a cuppa the second time.

Hahahaha. An hour and 40 minutes? You shouldn't believe everything you read on the internet, it takes me an hour from South West London. Great facts, you must work for one of those tinpot free satnav companies that always come up with hopeless estimates round London.

First of all, I am not interested in a 'my club is bigger than your club argument'. I leave that sort of thing for the bigger boys to argue over.

Regarding your being able to get in earlier, park more easily this time etc, two things come to mind. First, that I am glad you were able to get in easily as reading this forum I got the impression that some of your fans' complaints directed at ATFC were that it took a long time to enter the ground. Thankfully that was obviously not the case. The parking was also easier this time because as has been pointed out here with regular monotony, Aldershot is such an awful place in many people's opinion (not mine- it's my home town) then all the carparks would have been empty as locals go elsewhere to shop.

And your comments on [comments removed by mods] is that a formal accusation and one that ATFC should take seriously? I know that some people are very keen on legal action on this message board, let's hope that no one in authority at Aldershot Town read this or, if they do, let's hope that they assume that you are just flying a kite rather than making a slanderous or libellous remark. There has been enough talk of legal action already here- let's hope your remarks do not provoke any more.

Fair point. Comments removed.

This is all getting very petty now. Time to focus on the refund policy issues or it'll be time to close the thread.

Getting back to the original point. RM has just thrown one huge spanner in the works for me. He has given me half my money back. If I use that to pay for a half price ticket for the re-arranged match i'm no worse off (save a few quid for the car) so it may not be worth me doing anything.

Cheers RM!

For me the money is irrelevant, there is a principle involved. That said, I'm not going to do something that will leave me out of pocket. So, if I can get to the re-arranged match (I work in Old Street, and live in NW London so I will have to leave work in time to get home, pick up the car, and drive round the M25 - via Heathrow(!) in time for 7:45) then i'll bow out gracefully. If I can't get to it, then I'm still on for the SCC.

Thinking about it, someone who bought a number of tickets should still take Aldershot to the SCC. They will get half their money back from Ron, and potentially all of their money back from Aldershot!

Isn't that rather contradictory? If the money is irrelevant then the fact it might leave you out of pocket is not important? Surely either principles matter or they don't.

I think Aldershot was just an awful place last season as this.

And I think the remarks about how long it took to enter the ground were aimed at last season's event, when it seemed to me that our support was significantly greater than this season.
