A word for the fans...

Southampton Shrimper

Team Eggheads
Well done to everyone who was at the Bridge today. This was one of those days that will go down in the Southend annals (and boy have we had quite a few of those in the last few years!). What an amazing day, an amazing result, and 6,000 loopy Shrimpers played their part as the twelfth man.

How can anyone moan about the Roots Hall library after that shocking display of silence by the Chelsea fans. But at least we showed them what real support is about, at least we showed them what it is to have passion for your team, at least we showed them what it means to keep fighting to the end, at least we showed them what it means to support your team no matter how hard they may be struggling on the pitch and as for what happened when Clarke scored that goal, I almost forgot to breathe I got so excited.

That's what the FA Cup is all about, that's what being a Shrimper is all about.

Millenium Stadium, Southampton, Doncaster, now add Stamford Bridge to the long, long list.

Well done Shrimpers for making it such a great day.

Proud to be a Shrimper.

If only you had a choice to make on your coach travel......

We enjoyed ourselves on both legs of the journey. Shame that the local Plod can't tell you the difference from "Your coaches will be outside the ground after the game" as opposed to Or will they be where you left them?
Thankfully the maps all came in handy we gaveout.

The scenes when we scored will live in my mind for a long, long time. An incredible feeling. There were grown men so overcome with emotion that tears of joy flowed around me.

Well done to all who went, it was a fantastic atmosphere. Come on you Shrimpers.

By the way, just how quiet is Stamford Bridge!? I can't stand Spurs but dear God they were out of Chelsea's league.

We went to MK Dons on the SoL travel and had a great time!!!!!

So so proud of todays support. We out sung 35000 Chelski "fans" who I thought were embarassingly quiet today, there was a better home support at Cheltenham the other week when there was only around 2500 there, shameful lack of support from the "Big 4" side.

However we were fantastic, most of us sung and cheered ourselves hoarse. Only the play off win comes close to away support like today.

TBH I was in the lower stand by our right corner flag, at at the very very most only 50% of fans actually sung where I was, and I am probably being generous . Overall it sounded great though and I am happy to say I have lost my voice !
