2022-23 Season Kit - (H/A)

I suspect the reason some people are finding the shirts are too tight compared to the sizes you'd buy for day to day clothes is because, unless you buy slim fit clothes, when you buy normal t-shirts they are normally designed to hang loosely (which means if you're a bit larger than the designer intended it'll still fit, it just might show more of your body shape).

Football kits on the other hand are designed to fit tightly to your body these days, and they're designed for the bodies of people that play football regularly, not the average man on the street. That means if you're a bit bigger than the designer intended (a physically fit footballer) then it isn't going to fit unless you go a size or two up.
The last home shirt I bought was the Prostate Cancer Nike one. That was an XL and fitted me perfectly, as in, close fit to the body with gorgeous shapely angles on the extended stomach bulge. I have actually lost weight since that shirt so your explanation on fit isn't floating my boat I'm afraid.

Not true. As in my posts earlier, they make them to the wrong sizes abroad. According to my mate who worked as a delivery driver for a few months, they had loads of problems with returns for Amazon, as clothes, shoes and men's work boots that are made in places like Pakistan, China and Bangladesh. Everything is coming up smaller than the UK size ordered. If you buy men's clothes in Primark for example, you normally have to go up 1 or 2 sizes, as a lot of their jumpers etc, are made in Bangladesh. Macron should have sorted this out ages ago as it's been going on for years. Especially as online sales of clothing has increased as more shop online. There is even a work boots seller on ebay saying these boots are correct UK size, please buy your normal size, Lol. Obviously knows others are selling the wrong size. Surely it's down to the retailers to make sure clothes are made to the UK size it says on the label.

I don't know whether this has been mention as I cannot seem to find anything but I am assuming that we are able to buy this new short on Meet The Blues Day on Sunday?

It's a pair of shorts or a shirt, what's it to be @Tinks? Lots of pairs of shorts and shirts will be available at meet the Blues day I am reliably told. :Winking:

that will teach me to check what I type before I post xx
I meant to say shirt and now stand corrrected
Don't fancy the shorts as well? Great for loling about on the port side sun beds when cruising in the hot weather.

The fact Macron only start at medium (no small even offered) suggests they are at least 1 size smaller than usual off the bat.

Further, I think that it's not the country of manufacture (let's be honest, whatever the brand they are all made thousands of miles away), rather the nationality of the brand. Italian stuff always comes up small whereas Nike are American and tend to fit perfectly.

Exactly the same in cycling, Specialized (US) are far more forgiving than most of the European brands.

I just ordered the new Harlequins rugby shirt for my son, now made by Castore. Macron are 1 size 'smaller' than Castore for example (same size guide applies to Castore football shirts).

I’m 6’1” and about 12 and a half stone In weight. My medium home shirt arrived 10 minutes ago and is a perfect fit! Not tight, not short - absolutely ideal fit.

TBF I bought the Castore England ODI shirt in my usual medium and while it fits ok, it is longer than my usual size (although notably tight to get over my head!)

Macron sizing chart on the website, looks like the sizing's of their shirts are EU so are one size smaller than USA/UK. Untitled.png

Essentially anyone who is an XL or bigger is going to struggle to get a shirt that actually fits as you need to size up massively.

All I can say is that I’m always a medium in every high street shop, every kit I’ve ever bought too - and it seems I still am.

Perhaps the sizing problems are more acute for fat bastards? Just a thought :Moon:
