I still think we'll sign someone up-front, even if it's on loan and after the deadline tomorrow. CP hasn't exactly kept it private that he wants a striker and we've clearly been desperate in trying to get quite a few in so would be pretty surprised if we just settle for what we have.

Entirely normal- JW doesn't get picked, someone gets injured, JW comes in and is quality and stays in. Happened a month or so quicker than normal.

I’ll be pretty concerned if we don’t bring in another striker after the loan window shuts. I don’t think Theo, Cox and Hopper give us enough options or sheer number of bodies to accommodate for injuries and suspensions. Powell obviously doesn’t think Norman Wabo is ready as he didn’t even play against Great Wakering. It’s a shame coz I’d love a striker to break through from the youths. We’ve tried and failed with countless players on this front but none have ever made the grade with us.

I still think we really need another winger. A winger with pace. Our only back up is a non-league player. There is no one that is pushing to replace either Macca or Kightly if they are out of form or injured.

We lack pace big time throughout the squad.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harrison is back here next week as he can cover both striker and winger positions.

no more transfers would be less than ideal however it may force CP's hand a little in terms of bringing in the youngsters which might not be the worst thing that could happen.

Is it safe to assume that any unattached players can still be signed outside of the window or has that been restricted?

Was a non league player! Who's to say he won't be pushing them for a place? Harrison struggled with the physicality of league 1 and Barrett certainly won't have any problem with that.

That's bad news, could happen to anyone I guess but typically happens to someone with an already bad injury record. Looks like 4 - 6 weeks out and then will need to regain match fitness.

Good opportunity for John White and Harry K though.

Didn't Harry K come off injured in the U23 game this week?

I'm not for one moment saying that I think we SHOULD sign Harrison. Just stating that I wouldn't be surprised if he came in.

Regarding Barratt, I do hope he comes good, would be great for a non league player to succeed. However, my point stands, all 3 wingers are fairly similar. We really lack the pace needed within a squad.

If we don't sign a winger and Macca and Kightly don't do the business, I can see a 3-5-2 on the cards. To be honest I think it fits the current personnel better than anything else.

I'm more than happy to see John white come in. He always gives his all. I'm sure that CP has options in mind if we have to go down the loan route.

I still think that some of the youth team will come into the fray this season.

Let is not forget that our jewell in the crown Dru Yearwood is yet to return. He came from nowhere and should serve as a huge incentive to other youth teamers.

More like anton!!! White will start Saturday but anton will make the bench

Macca will do the business in a lot of games. He has been brilliant or average ever since he came here. Kightly has shown glimpses, but has been generally disappointing for one of the highest earners. We hope for a lot more from him this season.

I am a little underwhelmed by this seasons business. Feels like a weaker squad than last season. The only bonus is a younger and hopefully fitter squad.

I’m waiting to see if Stoke sign a striker today which could see Ngoy coming on loan. Straws clutching at.
