Sokolik first time round almost everyone wanted to sign. Great partnership with Egan and the great debate was who was better- the majority but not all felt Egan I seem to remember. We tried to sign him but sadly another player who was persuaded by his agent playing the 'you need to play at the highest level you can card'. He went to Yeovil who had just been relegated from the Championship. You can see why it might have seemed a good move- it wasn't.

However he has ability (Czech U16-18, Liverpool Res) and is worth a look - bear in mind many of the people who rubbish the idea are the very same ones who bemoan that we don't sign seriously under nourished Ryman league players..

Barnett as one of our strikers especially if we have brought Ranger and one/two others in I am fine with. At L1 level he is decent.

No the difference is that, i am not being donw beat about our prospects, i'm being realistic. We were never going to be ale to keep Payne and Bentley, we are a selling club, like most clubs of our statue are.

Worrall, was a good player on his day, but his off the field troubles affected him a lot last year, so for me if your not committed to the club see you later.

As for your comments about calling me a happy clapper, At least i F***ing support the club instead of talking it down at every opportunity.

You clearly have no idea how the club or any other is run behind the scenes, and how the agents/clubs play off each other.

But that's fine you criticise the players we have signed without seeing them play first. Me i will give the players as much support as one man can. And signing well established players with proven track records does not mean or guarantee success.

So how about you get down from the bashing post about the club and players and get behind them and show support!

Strictly we have Ranger too on a 1 month contract until 1 Aug with option to trigger a one year plus option (so if we want him we have him). Difficult to see much he has done so far that would mean we don't take up that option- but soon enough we will get an indication from whether he is going to Spain. But agree today its sparse.
 
Echo States he is meeting with him tonight, so I doubt we would know until tomorrow at the earliest. As for who it is, no idea for sure, but if anyone on here has dinner reservations at the Rosyln tonight, can you please bring your iPad and give us all the important info in live updates... Such as does Phil like onions in his burger or with his steak? :smile:

Novak was mentioned publicly when the club thought he was about to sign and look what happened. All in good time. Its like having to wait till after Christmas dinner until you can open the presents.
