£1.5M or £2M received for Mr. Eastwood....

The question remains though.

The money has gone/is going where?

I will keep asking until the answers sre evident.

Is that unreasonable?

What does it matter ?

We cant go and spend 1.5 or 2 million on one or even two players anyway.

Paying off some of our debt maybe.

You're asking questions that people haven't got answers to, so why don't don't you write to the club if you're that bothered!

It does matter. If the club absorb big money (big for us) and then it goes AWOL, what does it tell you about the ambition of the club?

Quite as lot in my mind.

I appreciate your point that we won't spend it all one one player, of course not, that would be appalling business.

However, if the club has any ambition whatsoever, even if the money isn't ear-marked for A.Player, as supporters and therefore wage-payers we want - no, need to know where OUR money is going.

Any club is nothing without supporters.

We owe a lot more than Freddy has just brought in so I'd guess that much of it is servicing debt.

OUR money? What on earth are you talking about?

I'm not the manager so that question is rheotoric.

I work for an oil company in which you may have shares. Which company should we buy platinum reformer catalyst from?

See my point?

No club would exist without supporters. Yes it IS OUR money fundementally!

Not really ! You pay £20 to watch a football match and receive entertainment (sometimes) for the money.

Do you make such demands of the Odeon for example ?

No business exists without customers, that doesnt make the money it owns the customers.

No, buying shares is buying part of the company. The anaology would be if I bought a can of oil from the oil company would I have a say in their business ? Of course not...

I think it's a reasonable asssertion to make that the vast majority of funds generated into football come from supporters through ticket sales, merchandise sales or subscription media channels.

Yeah of course I know that, the £1.5 mill we got from Wolves definitely didn't come from us though!

RM stated that some of that money would be made available to Tilly, so we can only guess that a large portion of it has paid off some of our debt.

Yes I do. If the entertainment isn't up so scratch then I'll go somewhere else!

No, the money isn't mine agreed BUT the emotional investement is.

In life I have changed my job, car, house, lady but I have NEVER changed my football cub (Don't tell Angie!)...

Now come on Rob,
With all due respect, you dont look that wet behind the ears! I would hazard a guess that the money will be absorbed into the company. Primarily to service the ludicrous paper debt (to he who enjoys panaramic views) and maybe...just maybe a token player at some stage of the season to keep the 'we' people singing off the same hymn sheet.

Jam a sort of valid point BUT if you didn't buy the oil that would be a sale lost. Maybe you'd get bad customer service and tell your mates.....Once a business is on the slide it's so difficult to it back on track.

Leeds for example.

Biffo I don't want 'guess' 'thought' etc. I'm 51, been through the hoop and back in many apsects of life.

I want transparency in the club I have supported for 41 years.

If the board say to me (us) " THe Eastwood money has paid off the Inland Revenue" then fine!

Rob's had a great point in all this though. Without a doubt the most powerful and influential people in football are our good selves. If we choose to vote with our feet and our tv remotes the professional game would be screwed without us. It's a point that is often lost on an awful lot of people.

A football supporter is wanting to know about a footballing matter pertaining to his club. Whether or not it should be asked on here is one thing but the people purportedly running the administrative affairs of the club we fund should be receptive to this sort of enquiry.

Thats true, every business relies on customers, and football works slightly different in that you have a far stronger brand.

That still gives fans no ownership though, and as said above the money raised from the club was 100% profit from a sale and was in no way from our pockets.

If supporters think they have a right to demand what is done with the transfer fund maybe they should pay off some of the debts too....
