Memory Lane Favourite Southend landmark - past or present.

I was also the kind of geek that loitered around Estuary, Computerama, Software plus and annoyed Dixons staff with:

Code:
10 print "You are w***er!"
20 goto 10
run

Put the semi colon at the end of the quotes Cyril! Call yourself a programmer? :D

I remember there was a ZX Spectrum POKE command that would mimic the squiggly border loading thingy. Oh the hours of fun I had.... :stunned:

the funny wall at Vic Ave
wall2.jpg

err I stand in front of that every fag break at work. It's attached to HMRC Portcullis House.

Zhivago's?

Or as it was originally called. The Intercon..which I always thought was a rather peculier name .It was attached to The Beer Keller next door where I saw Gary Glitter play a few times to the local kids.....That is a worry in itself now ..

The Old Talza Market for me and the Boating lake on the seafront.

Dragging you right back mate..................do you remember a huge toy shop on the High Street, had about 3 floors that used to stretch back?

And also the bait and tackle shop on the left at the top of Pier Hill, think it was the last shop on the right before the hill?

Not required on Commodore basic.

Putting a ';' at the end of a print statement would produce this output:

You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!You are a w***er!

Which I am sure you will agree clutters the screen and reduces the impact of my intended obscenity.

I loof forward to receiving your apology in due course.

i remember going down the seafront after we played bolton on the opening day and the bolton fans pushed a car in the old boating lake.

Do you remember Scamps nightclub as well? (for younger viewers that was the original name for Rain or Storm as it is called now?)

I thought that was Bermans? in Southchurch Road which was a Toy Shop that also sold Lawnmowers.
