Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation Transfer Thread - Summer 2025 Edition.

Transfer news
Francillette looks good on paper but whilst a goal scoring centre back is nice to have, I don’t think it’s the be all and end all. Unless Kev’s shifting to a back 4, we need a centre back who is comfortable on the ball, and can bring the ball out from the back and pick a pass. Otherwise the 3 at the back isn’t effective. Kensdale and Golding are exactly the kind of ilk we need there and whilst Golding scored goals, Kensdale didn’t. But was still excellent in that role.

If Francillette can score and is also very technically good on the ball, it’s a win win. But technical ability is more important for me than popping up with a goal the other end.
fromwhat was said about him in a post by one off ours was said he is very good with his head and feet able to control and bring the ball out , sounded perfect to my way off thinking

My view on the lack of activity in signings is this - clubs like Sutton Carlisle and York know the players they want so go and get them early now imo doing this maybe the best way because the interest in the players might be less- doing it our way surely the good players we are after gather other interested teams then it becomes a war on wages etc and we seem to loose out- obviously wait and see but I do prefer the early business if possible

Feel like a lot of transfer activity will pick up next week. Players contracts officially end monday and they will all have mortgages and bills to pay so players will begin sign on the dotted lines that are put in front of them. Clubs will also likely be starting pre season next week so clubs will be deciding who's available for transfer etc, next week will be when the dominoes start to fall.

They get paid to the end of July so maybe not so much
