Films you've watched recently.

G20 on Amazon.

Terrorists capture the heads of the G20 in South Africa including the POTUS on the pretence that the G20 is corrupt.

We have seen this film many times before and you can see where this is going.

There is lots of action, with unlikely people displaying 'unlikely' skills as usual as the terrorists are fought off.

If you liked the Olympus films, Whitehouse Down or Airforce One you will like this.

And if you've never seen them? (or been remotely interested? :Winking:

About Time - Starring Bill Nighy and Domhnall Gleeson. Just watched this again for the umpteenth time, never tire of it.

If you like Bill Nighy The Worricker Trilogy is good fun. Three films... not art, not deep, just a bit of fun. Steller line up including Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon, Christopher Walken, Henlena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fienes, Judy Davies, Rupert Graves and more.

I am, indeed, a Bill Nighy fan, and have seen the trilogy of Worricker. One of his all time favourites for me is Still Crazy, a rock film extraordinaire.

Trawling through some British B films on Amazon Prime I came across 'Once a Sinner' made in 1950. Much to my surprise it opens with extensive location shots of Southend sea front, the Kursaal and the high street and there is even a glimpse of the gasworks. Hordes of holidaymakers everywhere crowding the place out. Well worth renting just for these scenes although the whole thing is a good shot at British film noir.
