Last 23 league games. Half a season. W 10 D 9 L 4. That’s 39 points, which over a course of a season would be 78 and comfortable in the top 3 or 4.

If we miss out this season it will be be from our poor start, losing Cardwell and Kensdale and being late to the party thanks to Ron.

It won’t be because we let in a last second equaliser against Sutton.

I had the Eastleigh/Halifax game on yesterday and Halifax were utter gash. Don’t underestimate the twists and turns and unexpected results coming up in the next couple of weeks, some of which may be our own.
I think if we just miss out it’s due to being so inconsistent over the whole of the season not just a poor start ,just the last games like the second half at Boston & now the last minute against Sutton we just haven’t been able to finish teams off

We are just too inconsistent. Teams in the bottom we should be dispatching, but we drop points. That'll be the difference in the end
That’s one problem with the National League the so called Pub Teams always raise their game when playing ex Football League teams they why most find it very hard to get out of this league apart from a lucky few it’s a long time down here ☹️

10/11 points from the remaining 15 to play for will be enough I think. Solihull on Saturday is a must win just to keep us in contention, Ebbsfleet also must win given how awful they are. The other 3 I think will all be very hard games where we might be able to afford to drop points in one maybe two at a push. I think it goes down to Gateshead...

Two big games in hand affecting us tonight, Oldham v Woking and Sutton v Rochdale. If Rochdale win they'll go up to 5th and we'll be three points off Gateshead in 7th. An Oldham win would all but secure their play-off place. Oldham didn't play at the weekend and Dale made a lot of changes for their FA Trophy game, so they'll both be fairly rested 😬

Gateshead have always been the target, especially with Rochdale having so many games in hand.

Gateshead's next two games are FGR's and York. If they win those, they deserve to be where they are.

Also, don't discount Halifax. I watched their managers interview after their draw with Eastleigh. He says they are playing with no identity at the moment and have lost key players to injury. Eastleigh hit the bar and missed a pen in that game. They have Maidenhead next. A few on here thought it was a full gone conclusion that Tamworth would beat them and I said it was the type of game Devonshire pulls something out of the hat. Let's hope he does the same again.

Not a bad set of predictions at all. And if it reaches fruition, it would only confirm what I said about three weeks ago, namely that we(or someone else) could reach the play-offs with less than 70 points.
