The reason we will struggle to make the play offs is because every game team selection is different. Ok some is forced on us due to illness and injury but for consistency a settled side is needed so partnerships and understandings are built up.

Up front: The last seven games : yesterday Hopper, Kendall; going back Bonne, Hopper; Bonne, Walker; Hopper, Kendall; Walker, Hopper, Kendall; Hopper, Walker; Walker,Kendall, Bonne. Seven games, seven different combinations.

2 matchdays now that other teams competing around us have dropped points and we havent won, feels really gutting. As long as we do our job, ill be fine with not making play-offs.

We really do need that win win over the next two
Trouble is our Home record is poor and high expectations add in even more tense pressure
We cant afford to keep drawing
However the same pressure if not more will increasingly grow on the sides above us

If others throw away their games as well🥴
Altrincham have York away, then us. Tricky for them.

However, Eastleigh have Ebbsfleet and Hartlepool, both at home. You have to predict 6 points there. They need to be thrown out the league of they lose to Ebbsfleet. Hartlepool is a bit harder as we know they defend more than Omaha beach.

It's a huge ask but we really need to be getting 6 points. We absolutely can't lose to Altrincham that's for sure.

If it’s not dead already then I’m sure it will be on Saturday. I fear Altrincham will take us apart. Hope I’m wrong of course

And so will others.
I agree with you. Although we have improved since the first half of the season nearly every other team are intent on doing the same by signing players or changing manager. Last nights game showed that the standard in the National League has risen way beyond what it was ten years ago.

Don't get this obsession with the playoffs. If by some miracle we did make them, we have neither the squad fitness, skill, depth or tactical tactical nous to compete over two legs.

This season is done. Let's focus on the realistic and rebuild.
Most of the current squad will still be here next season so unfortunately there is not much scope for rebuilding. Even if new signings are made, without a change of management it will just be more of the same with all the familiar weaknesses that have been evident for years. If COSU are content with another season of mid table mediocrity by failing to take action promptly then the consequences will be there for all to see.

Mid table mediocrity means we'd be nowhere near the play offs. We would've made them last season if it weren't for the -10 and we're in contention now (yes, I know, we won't make it but we'll be close). With a few quality additions we'd easily be a few places higher up. Maher can't stick the ball in the net himself can he .. or whip a decent early ball in. A player capable of both of these things on a regular basis plus a solid couple of CB's and it's a different story no?
