3 weeks ago we where lead to believe 95% done deal, Ron desperate to sell and all be wrapped up the following week. 3 weeks on talks seem to have halted with kimura becoming more distant in completing a takeover. Doesn't look like Southend are going to be sold anytime soon, infact I'm not even sure a deal will happen. Our situation looks to messy to me.

I personally feel if the takeover isn’t completed by end of June. Kimura will move on.
I suspect Kimura may want to renegotiate the previously agreed selling price. Possible when carrying out their DD they found some skeletons that Ron accidentally forgot to tell them about.
Just my take on things.

There are plenty stating that it 'can't' go into July. However, the club (Ron) was granted 50 odd days for a reason. That was a generous amount of time to be granted. It must have been granted for a reason. One can also assume that he was always going to use the maximum amount of those days. It's most frustrating for all concerned but it is hardly surprising. Let's just hope he goes against form and things get done quicker, but I won't hold my breath.

Interesting that the South Stand sponsors have renewed for next season (on the OS). Not sure I would knowing after 12th July there may not be a next season….

I wonder if the commercial guys have been to HMP New Hall to see if Rose West wants to continue her association with the club for next season too?

How many times does it have to be said that nobody except Ron & Kimura know what's fully going on and things change quickly? I assume you come to this thread not for the historically reliable ITK posters tidbits but just to vent and waste time?

I agree, let's chase those who have a track record of genuine info away so we can hear the same old bollocks from fans ranting that if we don't get this done today then our best players will leave and just how sad they are about that. Yes more of that please.

The only truth that I know to be in said rumour, is that Kimura have been seeking such a meeting and have engaged one of the local MPs in an attempt to get them to broker and possibly referee it. I have not heard myself from anybody who I consider to be reliable or "on the inside" that such a meeting was scheduled for 10am today. Doesn't mean that it wasn't, but I don't currently believe it to be the case.

I'm under the impression that it can go right up to 12th July as things stand. That is the deadline imposed by Ron, but probably only because it links in with other deadlines. Aside from Ron's deadline, 12th July quite probably represents two other deadlines - one from the National League and one from the court. That doesn't mean that both deadlines can't be extended if needed, if solid evidence is shown that a sales process is further advanced than it was at the time of the previous hearing on 17th May, and is nearing completion - but obviously it's a bigger task on paper to satisfy two parties imposing deadlines rather than just one.

I'd be interested to know whether the NL will be led by HMRC's/the judge's opinion or decision on 12th July, or whether it would be the other way around.

I just would have thought with all the people on here that are ITK, that someone would have piped up with some sighting or insider knowledge by now.

We are 19 days away from watching our club goes out of business on 12th, as the court adjourned our case on 17th of May, plus the judge was very close to close us down, he only decided to adjourn us due to proof the buyers will buy the club before 12th of July.

If there was a meeting things would unlikely be decided on the spot. They’d probably still need to think things over/talk to partners/backers etc. Then once things were agreed in principle the draft agreement would need to be amended to reflect whatever was agreed. So a constructive meeting is unlikely to produce a result before next week at the earliest.

Even if the meeting went badly Kimura likely set Ron a deadline before they walk away for good.

On deals you’ll often encounter road bumps. Things grind to a halt for a while before picking momentum up again. It’s never a straight line. Both parties will want to know that they’ve got the best possible terms and that means testing the other party’s limits on occasion. You see if they blink and if they don’t you backdown.

There DD has probably unearthed few nasties and Ron hasn't been very cooperative. Hence why the deal has stalled. I wouldn't be surprised if Ron asking for the world for sufc but providing very little in return. Kimura must be thinking is all this really worth the hassle and investing. Would take brave person to punt us in my opinion considering what Ron has on offer to attract buyers. I guess will find out in few weeks time.

Meeting could be ongoing - there was no end time mentioned. Or it could all be bollocks. Who knows?

250k isn't great deal of money owed by football club really. I don't really see judge winding us up for low amount owed. Another adjournment looking more likely.
