Bill Rubin - genuinely loved the club and died far too soon
Bill Rubin might have been a nice old guy

I met him when I was a very, very, young man and recognised him straightaway, We were both on our way to see the blues at Brentford. He was somewhat lost on the underground and asked for my help.
So I aided the Bill to outside Brentford station, where he proposed we get a taxi to the ground and asked me to hail one down
I thought what a kind gesture, but found that Bill wouldnt get out until I coughed up half the fare, he then pointed me away as he headed for the Directors box !
Nice perhaps but certainly careful with his dosh and generosity to a young fan?

"[Sentence edited July 22, 2013] Use wasn't when writing in the indicative mood, describing actual events or actual feelings or being, that apply to a single subject, and use weren't when it applies to plural subjects."

p.s. You can use wasnt as well, Its a big debate, to big for on here, so I wont quote all the articles suggesting both ways can be used, Not everyone is that familiar with the first person or second person particular in my experience

Are PG both, given the thousands sponsored for the shirt and extra loans etc to the club to keep it afloat ?
Ah sorry - poorly worded question. I meant sponsoring the players home or away shirts rather than club sponsorships like Pg and Gilbert & Rose

I mean, yeah we need to be thankful and appreciative of what they’ve done for us this season - that’s not up for debate, it’s factual - but that latest tweet/gripe does come across as egotistical and arrogant, regardless if it was intentional or not.

In any normal circumstance, you’d expect the club to reign them in, but as we’ve got a basket case chairman, who’s constantly desperate for handouts, we can probably expect this kind of thing to continue.

It’s been said again and again, PGSS would be better off leaving this kind of **** off of Social Media, and if they truly felt disparaged, it should have been done in a more professional manner; email, phone call etc etc.

Okay, some of the messages from PG seem more likely sent by the PG Tips Monkeys than a sound, thinking professional company, BUT they, PG, have put their money in and are, often, echoing discontent and frustration with Ron that most of us have.
They have "stepped up to the plate" when, I have little doubt, other companies shied away.

True and I for one have made the point previously on more than one occasion..

In a way makes their issues with SM all the more frustrating. One also has to remember they are a club shirt sponsor who has loaned additional sums (that they will expect back) but they are also a supplier to a huge £300m development? Another dimension that gets forgotten.

Comments appropriate from a sponsor is one thing, from someone loaning the club money another and from a supplier another again. Which gives complexity to the relationship and is why keeping quiet would be a wiser course of action- or at least more judicious use of SM.

Plus their non-exec was there!
