Breaking News Season ticket prices go up for 2023/24

I'm 60 in July so was going to delay renewal untill then anyway to get old gits rate 😉
Me too but I still agree with the statement issued by the trust, it's not so much about the increase but yet again the lack of consultation and the sheer arrogance of the club to just announce the increases at potentially 30% inflation and expect everyone to just pay up 😡

If we were moving to Fantasy Farm 🤣 next season I don't think anyone would argue but seriously 🫣 another season ruined by RM's childish games with HMRC and I know I will get shot down for this because everyone thinks he can do no wrong but where was TL's input into this latest controversy 🤔 he is supposedly running the club but also didn't think it was worth discussing this with anyone first 🤦

No I wouldn't, but I'd consider paying that given I can sit with my Dad in a clean environment with a pint and chips in my hand, move around the stadium as I see fit, and all for less than watching Southend in a cesspit for three times the price, and with no prospect of meaningful progress under the current stewardship.

Everybody has a limit.
Yes, it is an OK experience at Chelmsford City apart from the running track, the main stand is clean and tidy, the bar area is OK. Ironically the Chelmsford fans call the stadium "The Gulag". I hate to think what their opinion of Roots Hall would be.

Even companies running at a loss 😳
Yep.
I kinda get the sentiment but who’s to say one persons job is more important than another?
Literally no one.
If I had a burst pipe I’d rather have an emergency plumber than a nurse
Sorry, are we just stating the obvious?

I'm really not sure what impact this has on you? Other than to give you the opportunity to moan for the sake Discussing.

What a weird thing to be unhappy about. It's a nice token gesture from a club normally so tone deaf with a nice bit of PR.

Funny, people never complain when they're bleeding out from a stab wound, hit by a car or experience unexpected life threatening cardiac surgery .... then we become important. The discounts really aren't anything to write home about, though the 50p off a pizza came in handy that one time ....

The money the fans are paying does not equate to better players at Wrexham. The owners are funnelling money to the amount of League 1 salaries to a handful of them.

Shaun Harvey... The former CEO of the EFL. During his time he:

He sold the EFL rights to Sky Sports cheaply without asking Amazon/Apple/BT for bids. Massively undervalued the EFL to the extent the Championship nearly broke away from the EFL.

He admitted EFL long journey away games were organised to be mid-week rather than Saturdays, so Sky would be inclined to show them, or fans would buy iFollow passes at £10 a pop.

He killed the Football League Trophy to please the premier league. Instead of a true lower league competition, everyone got a £30k bribe to allow U21 premier league teams play. Whilst the games were now utterly pointless, EFL teams who played weaker teams than their full strength XI would receive a fine.

The League Cup going from being sponsored by Carling to Carabao, with the draw being held in Asia at 4am. Not being televised on UK TV.

4 clubs he has being apart of:

Farsley Celtic
Scarborough
Bradford City
Leeds United

All 4 have been in administration whilst he was there, 2 of them do not exist today.

That's just the tip of the iceberg. A terrible man to football.
The piece on the football league trophy is inaccurate/misleading which makes me question the rest of the “facts “

The club did a q&a a few years ago and Shawn was invited. Less than a dozen fans turned up. Pretty sure cockles43 was there and maybe Jai?
Shawn explained that they did not have the sponsorship to run the trophy and it was either have the premier leagues u21,s or let the trophy die. There wasn’t another option. The clubs were not happy about it but-voted to let the premier league in and keep the trophy running.
Tara Brady was sat next to him and confirmed this.
There was also a sub plot to this that I can’t quite recall where by this also got us onside with the FA which could be used as leverage for something else

Premier League U21 teams only got their boot through the door when they were trying to get Premier League B teams in the actual leagues though.

Yes, but if you cut your fingers off while trying to fix the pipe yourself.
Which would you rather callyo help.

a) A plumber
b) someone from the emergency services.

I am all for persons working for the emergency services to get a big discount.
All day long, why not.
