Bazza as far as I know is the ultimate model professional footballer....fantastic role model for youngsters....gave 100% every game he played....never committed serious crime.....no contest whatsoever.

Indeed he was. Like all good pros after a promotion he asked for a pay rise and guess what, PB offered him one. Once Cambridge came in with a lot more money on offer, suddenly he never felt wanted by Southend....What a surprise.

Had PB signed him from Cambridge and he ended up injured you would be on here posting endless stats about his previous injury record, what a waste of money, £6,000 per week etc.

Still we must be doing ok at the moment, If your digging up Barry Corr to use for a bit of PB bashing. I take it you won't be going today.

I doubt it, Yaya Toure wasn't suspended despite being found guilty of drink driving.

PB says on BBC Essex that he expects it'll be resolved within 7-10 days but unlikely to be any comment until then.

The FA policy on social drugs is very clear, for first offender it's a maximum 3 months suspension I think - that's if a player fails a B sample. There is a mandatory temporary FA suspension if an A sample fails the test.

Is this still speculation or does someone on SZ privy to info from the club or FA that substantiates this? Lot of fans talking about him at RH today (obviously) including rumours he was caught with traces of the old Columbian marching powder in his system?

I genuinely hope this is just speculation - as I do think he is smitten with the club, and I cannot see a future for him if he and SUFC separate - despite all he's congratulated the club and team on Twitter.

So, next week we should have a clearer view - i hope he gets through this, or the rehab ends and we can reflect on what might have been
