My personal preference would be for the one without the words; that one is very good indeed.
 
I like them both but would love to see a few more options..:smiles:

We can try the plain one though to see reaction to it although is it me or do the words "Shrimper" and "Zone" look separate and does the "Z" look bigger than the "S"?

For what it's worth, I think without the words - and the one you've currently used - looks as if it's the header on a tennis forum! I like the idea and definitely like the new logo but with just a plain strip of green the logo looks somewhat like a tennis ball bouncing on a court. Maybe some kind of football pitch markings and goals could be incorporated, so that they go back into the picture like lines of perspective? Or the logo as the ball on the centre spot awaiting kick off?

I can assure you that the 'S' and the 'Z' are the same size font, must be an optical illusion! I agree it's very basic, but I think simplicity keeps things looking clean and fresh. I can appreciate the tennis court comment, but according to my image search that's actually the roots hall turf. We could include some player images, but I know this is an absolute minefield when it comes to copyright issues - if anyone has any royalty free images I'd be happy to experiment with them. Similar to the second design ethos I thought maybe we could put names of all the famous past players in the background or SZ usernames - much like the legacy shirt is trying to achieve (albeit without the cost!). Anway any feedback appreciated, although I realise we're never going to please everyone!
 
I like it... Very professional.

My only criticism would be to change the tone of the blue that is used either side of the grass strip, just so that it matches the shade used in the User CP. That way it'd blend in with that seamlessly and look a bit sharper, while making the SZ logo stand out.
 
That's easy enough to do - I had used the spot colours from the club logo before hence why they aren't the same.

I really like the one you did with the names in the background, and that would become dated a lot less easily than one with images.
 
I like the new logo, looks especially good on twitter. I agree with MK though, the banner needs more, maybe some sufc legends & current players.

Good work though!
 
We can leave it as it is for now so a few more members get a chance to add their comments then try the names one later in the week.
 
In the meantime, any of the photos we've taken for the Zone at the last 2 MTBDs can be used, I'd assume the ones SBH took the year before can as well, the only issues are those which are actually copyrighted, which I think certainly for the older players, would be a stumbling block.
 
How about a "Legacy Logo" ? We could charge hundreds of pounds for SZ users to have their names on display ! Result. £££££££££

Go for whatever ideas you have ..if you have the time of course. We will no doubt settle on one in the end.:)
 
Just as a note, when you log in the "remember me" bit is lost in the white lines of the header atm
