I suppose it all comes back to the old debate of getting results or playing pretty football.

Martin and Benyon weren't here when we shot to the top of the league during the first half the season. That's not to say they're not got players as I feel they will both go on and play well during the run-in. I just think maybe we need to go back to a formation which got us in this position in the first place.

They werent here in December when we didnt win a game, we actually started winning again when they joined.

I'd go with that team too, although possibly switching Baldwin with Barker, I think Barker really needs some time off because he looks tired every game at the moment. Also Gilbert is a better LB than Prosser

Dickinson has been good for us this season, but he didn't have a great game last night. Sampson definitely to start, with Mohsni I would think.

Looking at that team, I would identify our LB and GK as weak points and would be pleased to see a loanee coming in at either position. Morris hasn't been too bad this season, but his weaknesses were shown up yesterday (yes the defence is to blame as well).

Now is not the time to turn on Morris. Poor game he may have had but over all, the guy's been pretty solid for us.
You defend as a team and last night I reckon I could have got past our midfield at times - woefully out of position.
squeaky bum time it might be but if there's a manager who been there done that in this division then it's Sturrock - keep the faith.

Interesting, isn't this more or less the team that finished the game last night? I must confess offensively the team that finished the game, looked better than the team that started it, notwithstanding that they didn't actually score.

Good point to raise about our defence.

The main problem with this team is we cannot defend. We have kept one clean sheet in the league since October (Port Vale at home) - how many sides get promoted doing that? Not many I'd guess.

This is the key area to sort out. If we can return to regular clean sheets like in the winning run, we will go up.

Good point MS, but as long as we score more in a game than we let in we should be OK....................... Oh wait!

Think it's time Barker has a rest and recovery time as he has been poor for ages now. Gilbert was caught out for two of the goals so would play Prosser to see how he handles it. Ferdinand was so poor that I would completely get shot of him from the squad, give someone else a go. Dickinson blows hot and cold, I'm afraid cold too much. Also give him a rest to see how others do. Mohsni and Sampson up top as they gave everything and will fight for this club. Nervous for this one, if we slip up against these, we could see a huge downward spiral.
