By far the best away day is this league, to one of the nicest cities in the UK.

I fancy us to nick at least a draw up there today because we are Southend and this is the sort of thing we do against the odds.
It all depends on which SUFC team turn up, but we usually play better against higher teams in this league who don't adapt to lets block them down and put every player behind the ball, (partly our fault of course for being so slow in attack) and as you say you can never tell with our club.

Still expect us to lose though.

Yes, I go to the York game each year. This time there's the extra bonus of the Christmas Market so I could get hammered on mulled wine.... I could live in York (even if it is in Yorkshire).

Anyway York are a much tougher proposition this season so I'm not holding out much hope, but you never know. COYB!

To all those travelling to York, including the miserable gits that expect us to lose, have a safe, uninterrupted journey and enjoy York. I have no real reason for saying this, but I really fancy us to take all 3 points and play we, it's what we do (sometimes)
It’s not being miserable, I’d say it’s called being realistic. We struggle to score, York are top of the league and we are going to their place. I’d take a draw but just cannot see it, I don’t think anyone expects it but feels that it’s the most likely outcome.

Anything other than a loss is a great result.

Your realistic is my miserable git young Scholesy:Moon:, especially when the site owner 'likes' your post.

Which is why we are the Wise men and you are the Donkey. 🫏 🎅
As the three wise men arrived at the stable in Bethlehem, Gaspar, who was very tall, hit his head on the stable door entrance. "Jesus Christ" said Gaspar loudly, "Oh" said Mary, "that's a nice name, we were going to call him Nobby".

"hee-haw" "hee-haw" - you can't expect anything more from a donkey. :Winking:
