Wycombe seem unbothered

Blue tinted optimist⭐🦐
if this message on their fans site is anything to go by...

"All but 1 of their goals have come from set pieces, last Saturday v Rushden they scored from 3 corners and 1 pen.
Just a little piece on the Shrimpers if anyone thinks we have anything to worry about after a good win for them last weekend.
"

If anyone fancies a bit of Wycombe fan baiting their site is here

The fact that we're proving to be dangerous from set-pieces should be a concern for them.

The fact that we're obviously attacking in the last 3rd in order to win these set-pieces should also concern them.

I reckon a tough game for both teams on Saturday... the type that can be decided by the odd set-piece or two.

Whitecome Wandholders will be tricky on Saturday but their view of us being only dangerous on set pieces will hopefully be a myth expelled at the weekend. Yes set pieces have favoured us but at least we are getting them right and when goals from open play strike home we will be prolific.

If I had the spare time, I would be up for a bit of that... however, having visited the R&D forum after Saturday's match, I felt like I was in a morgue... the site was poor quality and only one poster was on it!

Why should Wycombe's be any better... I will stick with the quality forum that is... [to fanfare] SZ

If we score 4 goals every game this season, I couldn't give a monkeys if they come from set pieces/open play/deflections off Jimmy 'Five bellies' Corbetts' arse.

Wycombe may be "Unbothered"by our players but.......

What will they think of the barrage of "Kazoo's" when we go one goal up from open play?

Nice to see some of their fans have a sense of optimism

"Southend are quite a tidy team, I saw them pre-season. I think we could get murdered!"

.......here's hoping

As Tilly and Brushy said at the Q&A, most goals in this division are scored from set-peices, so we aren't doing anything that anyone else hasn't done if we wish to be successful.

If you remember last season, we couldn't score from a corner or free-kick for toffee, and the amount of goals we conceeded from set-plays was unbelievable....

As I haven't seen any of the goals this season can someone please tell me what goal didn't come from a set piece.

I was under the impression all our goals v Rushden were set plays, presumably Barretts were all headers from corners and "goalscoring sensation" Gray's was a penalty.

Finally don't bother baiting Wycombe. I'm not a big fan of baiting opposition fans but Wycombe are a decent lot, who even hate Col Ewe

Adam Barrett's against Bristol was from open play

Top spot there HKB... I remember ColUBlue mentioning that ColU supporters have a distinct dislike for the Wycombe lot!

May the best team win on Saturday! "I hope that's us!" as it would put us in the top half of the table...

Barretts goal v Bristol Rovers was a header from a cross.

I'm not a fan of baiting either, but they have 2 characters on that board who I think would bite at absolutely anything.

One is Jim ******* and for a laugh have a look at the thread entitled "team england can f**k off".  I think our equivalent is Tony the Kray.

They also have a right know all called Big Tone who seems to wind everyone up no matter what he says.  He is apparently a master of fudging stats to get the result he wants... don't know who his equivalent would be (apart from me before anyone gets there first!) but I think we must be a much more tolerant lot.

I'm sure we can post some reasoned SZ points of view and get some sort of response from these two without ourselves resorting to abuse...

It's all good sport...

Turn the occasion into an anti Col Ewe love in.
A few chants of stand up if you hate Col Ewe should get the entire stadium singing. Between us & the chairboys there should be plenty of scum hating dittys to join in with.

It's true. There is mutual dislike between Wycombe and Col Ewe which stems from their non-league (snigger) days. I know which messageboard I'm more likely to be "baiting" on.

In view of the forthcoming LDV fixture, perhaps an appropriate song for this Saturday would be 'We hate Col U more than you"?
