Seeing SOUTHEND walking onto hallowed ground would be a memory to take to the grave,Yes winning the jpt would be magical, but myself i would love to see one PHIL STURROCK leading the team out ,to me for what he has done for Southend would bring tears to my eyes , it is after all his dream to be able to lead the team out onto Wembley.:Worthy:

Having seen the 2-2 home draw, I wouldn't agree that we were the better team, although we certainly had the chances to win it in the second half.We didn't take our chances in the home cup tie to Scarborough either.

You don't think we were the better side against Brentford? I thought they were very lucky to be 2 goals up and we certainly didn't deserve to be 2 down before starting the comeback.

Turning over Boreint is to me and a lot of fans something would put a big smile on many faces .Just like the LDV time when we turned over the boys from the dark side of the county in the area finals . Been to cardiff both times as a loser . Would rally love to go to wembley as A winning shrimper.

I would certainly agree with what I've highlighted here.
I suspect they'll tighten up their defence and play more like they did in scoring that very smart first goal. It's what their home record and their league 1 table position suggests they can do when they're really on song.
Let's face it our second goal was a gift(though fully deserved).
Having said that, I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong.:winking:

As a fan, Wembley - every time.
But, and this is not Ron, God forbid - financial rewards after prize money in the third round, probable TV money and a full house against Chelsea, probably stack up against JPT receipts.
Remember, our august chairman might be forced to cough up another loan deal or two as a result of the extra bunce and get us out of League Two - which is surely the real goal.

In reply to JAI , last year when Southend were doing well in the JPT , PS stated that it has long been his dream to lead a team he manages onto Wembley in a Cup Final, I for one would absolutely cherish that memory and I pray that Southend can fulfill that dram for him, hes been in the 2 1/2 seasons from the time he took over Southend with just 3 players 2 weeks before the season began an inspiration ,First he saved us from relegation, then last year within 1 point of promotion,And god willing this year he and the supporters will reap the rewards of his and his henchmens labour.

While I would like the silverware, I'll go with were ever the money goes and I assume that's with Chelsea. Either way, UTB's!

Is this to get Paul back for subbing Smith and bringing Bentley on?

Wrong on so many levels.

We have only won 2 trophies in our history. I only have seen one, the League One Title and had a tear in my eye nothing can beat winning a trophy for a club like us.
