Worst Towns/Cities in the UK

Well done Smiffy!! How the **** did i forget about Jaywick!!

What an absolute disgracefull hole! Utter **** bucket. It is quite unbelieveable really, it's like a giant camp site. Ghastly place

Jaywick brings back happy memories for me as a child, and to see those
photos has really shocked me,christ whats going on in this land of ours?

Just to reiterate how bad Jaywick is, here is the local pool hall/casino (if you zoom in on the pics you can see it clearly) aswell as the local shops

I was up there about 2 months ago (christ knows why) and it just resembled a wasteland, where all the crap in Essex has been dumped. Proper grim place.

To be honest, you'll be hard pushed to find ANYWHERE in the UK, that is worse than this

Leicester is truely woeful. Having spent much of my formative years there (Thanks a ****ing bunch Dad) it really is a total utter toilet.

I hate EVERY single thing about it - The town, the accent, the suburbs, its a immigrant run slum basically. If a bomb went of there no-one would notice. How/Why my sister lives there too this day amazes me still. Even the nice parts of Leicester are grim.

Hope you enjoy it Bailey x

Sorry chaps but I think my candidate in Jaywick, wins hands down.

Those pics I posted were from the local tourism board!

In all seriousness, this place is like a Kingston shanty town, you really have to see it to believe it. If you do go there, do not stop and put some armour on your car. Watch out for the strategically placed broken bottles on the roads, you get a flat in this place you will be attacked by 20-30 iron bar wielding pikey chavs. You and your car will be destroyed in seconds... You have been warned.

Don't rely on the police to save you either. They are too scared to go into the place.

See this video for further proof..

Have to disagree mate......if you had been to Glenrothes you would agree that is is by far the UK's worst town

Oooohh a racist tag?

Simply pointing out facts. I have not abused a race. I have not prejudged anyone because of their background.

Simply stating facts

GBJ - you seem a plucky fella and are always ready to stand your corner. I admire that in anyone, but the fact here is that you chose to conjoin your antipathy to Birmingham with its 'immigrant' population. Whether that is racist or not is neither here nor there. I suggested by my original question to you that your issue with Birmingham's 'immigrants' might say more about you than it does Brum, and I couldn't just sit by and let it go. Whether we like it or not, we are all immigrants here to some extent by dint of our respective histories. I am an immigrant to Cornwall and every now and then I do have to give it back to some of the indigenous Cornish who talk about us 'emmets' from 'up country' taking 'their' jobs. All I can say is that it feels divisive and I know we can all be better than that. Call me a stupid old fool for believing in the better side of human nature, but until there's a better way then I'll fight for my lost cause too.

TBH mate if i was merely referring to Brum as a **** hole because of its immigrant population, then surely i would have referred to East London/North London/Manchester/Blackburn/Blackpool in the same manner?

Birmingham is a complete hole. This was my own personal view of it. You are trying to add 2+2 and ending up with 5 i'm afraid.

Me referring to the immigrant population of Brum (was clearly said in a jokey way) just happens to be true. And of course being a member of the right-wing makes me an open target to the old "You're a Racist!!!" when a "dodgy" sentence is said.

I didn't realise that you were being jokey and I didn't even think about whether you were a member of the right-wing when I came back with my question to you. I responded to your remark about Birmingham having 'more immigrants than a Calais lorry park' as though that in itself was enough to damn the place after you had responded to my opinion that it wasn't all bad when I quoted the familiar line that it has "more canals than Venice." I couldn't let it go by as it was said in reference to something that I said - I realise that I'd be responding to lots of stuff written on here which could be construed as 'dodgy' but I guess that's up to the moderators to decide what contravenes the rules and what doesn't.

So what are you trying to point out or what are you asking me then? Have i condemned Brum because of it's migrants? If so, i feel i have asnwered that sufficiently in my last post. I feel there is no more to say on the subject is there?

:)
