I was always a big fan of his and therefore it pains me to suggest the following .... but I think Che Wilson's performance against Blackpool in Cardiff for the LDV final was X rated viewing.

Yeah I was thinking that one too. Poor Che:sad:

Che again sadly, vs Sheffield Wednesday away in the Championship a few years ago. He was so bad even Tilly took him off at half time. It was a shame because I liked Che but the double promotion took him above his level.

Rhys Evans v Cheltenham a few years back. New year time, think he was still ****ed as let two slip through his butter fingers. He was ****.

Surprised that this hasn't been mentioned already as it was only last season....
Paul Smith Vs Dagenham in the JPT.
In a game where Woodrow showed us his tallent, Smith overshaddowed it with his Sunday League level of 'keeping.

On the 'keeper theme, didn't Neville Southall get subbed at half time too? Was it Fulham away do I remember?

No. He played the whole game at Fulham.

In fact he played the whole game in every one of our nine winless matches he appeared in, unfortunately !!

This is harsh - should be all the homes games Brian Lloyd played. Away from home he was a different player.
Brian LLoyd let in 34 goals at home and 37 away from home ,so it did not really mater were he played he was s--t , I have said on here before how he took the goalkeeping shirt from Trevor Roberts is one of the great Roots Hall mysterys .

Recently Fat Boy Ricketts was worse than being minus a player.
Gomis's 16 minutes was embarrassing to watch, totally inept and a horror show.
For a truly awful full game nightmare it would be Luke Prosser against Daggers in the JPT last season, everything he did went wrong; he kept on trying but it just got worse and desperate.

John Nielson as a second-half sub against Charlton at home, Christmas/ New year 95/96. Came on at left wing. Dreadful.

Tony Currie was more interested in The Shrimpers Bar. however, as he technically did not play - I will pass that embarassing event by.

I will stick with a former England international - please stand up (if you could be arsed) Mr Frank Lampard Senior. He was without doubt one of the most honest players we have ever had. He appeared to not want to play for Southend United, did not attempt to hide it and as far as i saw - he gave nothing at all. Not even for his good friend Bobby Moore.

Away to Orient was his pinnacle. Atrocious - just could not be bothered at all!

Christian Hyslop was pretty bad. Brian Lloyd couldn't catch a ball, the 2-5 home defeat to Notts County (1972 or so) demonstrated that!
