I think my concern surrounds the time it takes for players to gel. I don't mind us hanging on for the right deal, and not being held to ransom, but having a central defensive partnership that hasn't played together before the first week of August is rather risky.

Probably the most ridiculous comment I've read on here.

In case you didn't know MH someone released from a CCC or Prem club might be quite interesting to a L1 or L2 club. That's how it works. And not all triallists are failed players who have been released. Their contracts may expire and they are keeping their options open. Harding was on trial with about 3 clubs recently and we'd have snapped him up if we could have afforded him!

Thats it though if we could have afforded him ! Anyone from cc or prem is on too much money and any decent player in lower league or non league will need a transfer fee so we have players nobody wants ! Trialist forward on sat was woeful poor touch and no movement ! And at the moment with alot of players nearing the end of their contracts our best players will leave for nothing as yet again we have no money to improve their current salaries ! We are in an awful position with not long go
