Wolves Spend £1.5m on Ebanks-Blake

If, as looks likely, Fred gets the old heave-ho from thick Mick, for more or less what they paid for him, we will have been well and truly stitched over that deal. So much for those, who advocated us selling for that price.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing though. I would personally have held out for a little more but in reality we wouldn't have got anymore than £2,000,000

At least they Are not after our Macdonald the forward line may of read ......Fleetwood Mac.;)

Id be happy to see Fleetwood Mac line up for us down at the roots. His goal talley this season speaks for its self.

I dont get the reasoning behind that.

Wolves cant sell him for as much as we sold him to them for yet you think we should have sold him for more ?!

If they cant get 2 million for him why could we?!

No we couldnt but Wolves have him on a long contract and are selling him for less.

So the question stands, how did we get stitched up at 1.5 million if Wolves only get 1 million for him.

Because those advocating selling at £1.5million, rather than holding out for a bit more, were advocating it on the basis that we would end up with a huge sell-on from Wolves. Which is not going to materialise. So when you consider that Peterborough will somehow eek out £2million+ for Aaron McLean, makes ours look a rubbish bit of business.

I thought Eastwood was worth 2million but if 6 months later Eastwood is sold for 1 million I cant see how us getting 1.5 is rubbish.

If he was sold for 5 million and we had no sell on that would be a poor bit of business but as Wolves may make a loss Id say we got a good deal.

Ive made the same point on another thread, if we could have sold Eastwood for 2million plus then why cant Wolves do so now ?

Well that's down, largely IMO, to thick Mick, who has refused to play him. He should have done my homework and realised thatin no way was Freddy his type of player.

What ever happens, someone is going to get a bargain! Just a shame we can't afford him.

Here's a situation:

No-one comes in for Freddy in January, and he makes a few starts for wolves and a measly amount of subsistute appearances, say, 10, during the rest of the season.

We meanwhile manage to suck up a lotta' luck and win the playoffs at wembley thanks to a Matt Harrold penalty. Now we're in the championship and I'm sure we could afford £1,000,000 should that be what Wolverhampton want for him, would he want to come back, and would you want him back?

Just a scenario, won't happen..or might it?..

Won't happen & would think twice about him coming back tbh!
