OK, so the secret is for me to make sure I've got good security / encryption software etc. etc.

i would recommend disabling or deleting all existing security/anti-virus software you may have as this really makes setting up a network a pain. once you are really happy that your network is working , encrypt it ASAP (but before this dont go on online banking etc) and then reload all your anti-virus, adware stuff etc as this is often what makes setting your network up such a pain


also don't use norton!

i.e. my point is be logical about it, don't just expect it to all work straight away. if you do it step by step it is easier to know what is causing the problem if/when it occurs!

Or get someone who knows all about security and bobs your uncle it will work without having to remove everything. :D
