Will we sign another striker? And if so, when?

When it became clear that we were going to be selling Freddy Eastwood I was certain that we'd splash a fair bit of the cash on a replacement. But I've really started to doubt now whether that is actually going to happen. With Harrold, Paynter, MacDonald, Hooper, Ademeno, Foran and Bradbury in the squad has Tilly got his strikeforce next season already?

I'm sure we will, bear in mind Tilly was trying to sign Paul Hayes, while we had Charlie MacDonald in.

I suspect that Tilly is morphing into Colin ******.:p

it seems a bit tricky at the mo, tilly prob gonna wait for hooper to make his decision and I think we got too many strikers as it is. I hope a centre back is his priority at the moment but Lewis Hunt can play centre back if needed.

It's gone very very quiet on the transfer front recently. I think we will see another striker, at least 1 centre back, possibly 2 and maybe a midfielder. I think Tilly and Ron are working hard on this and think we may see one by the end of this week.

Brush said ours and Cambridge's valuations of the player were "Miles Apart" and I can see them holding us to ransom further knowing we have a tidy sum in the bank following Eastwood's sale.

When we're floundring in the bottom 1/3 come Christmas and it becomes obvious to Tilly that a side needs a striker with just that little bit of special creative ability to turn games..... then he'l bring someone in.

I dont think there is any hurry at the moment. Give the guys that are there a chance. If a decent striker becomes available snap him up. Or if we are not scoring goals get a forward in the transfer window.

On paper the strikers we have dont look the best. But the one thing we have this season we havent had for a long time is competition up front. This may bring out the best in some of them.

I've got to say that the thought of starting the new season without a new striker who you regularly see on the soccer saturday goals column quite frightening. I'm confident that one of the many strikerz we already have here will be an adequate partner for said new striker but feel we still need someone who almost guarantees goals without freddy. I know there's a drop in standard compared to the championship so what do people think about this?

I agree, we need someone who has played in the football league, has played a lot over the last 2 seasons, has pace and scores goals from all areas. It's a tough ask to find someone like that but i think we need someone who is garunteed 15-20 goals.
