WiFi/Phone signal at Roots Hall

Personally I think the cost would be prohibitive given that access points have a max number of connections (admittedly wifi6+ can handle over 1000 per AP) but the back-haul will have to be beefy given it would take a pounding half time, pre & post match and almost nothing for the next 2 weeks.
It could be a significant investment and a hotel wifi like experience.
As others have suggested, EE seems to work best at the Hall

Sat in South Upper today. Currently have 5G on O2. Must be something about the East that keeps the signal out. Presume the design of the East was based upon a faraday cage.

We discussed WIFI at our liaison meeting on Thursday. The Club have already invested a 5 figure sum to improve the connectivity for the different areas of the ground to be better for staff to use, and it is intended over time to further improve this for supporters. What they had done to improve things is now trying to be accessed by even more supporters so some are still experiencing trouble, particularly in the East.

As I've said before, I'm on EE and have never had any problem at all, in fact the Trust have now moved our matchday merchandise/ticket sales over to EE as well for that reason. We have no problems in the Shrimpers Bar which is probably one of the worst areas for other networks.

I'm on 4g with O2 and can't get a signal in the west ,same thing when I was on virgin

O2 and virgin are the same company I think - so might be why the signal is equally poor
Not quite. Virgin are what's known as an MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator). They're a separate mobile phone company but without their own network. (There's loads of them, like Tesco too.) They pay a fee to O2 to use their network. They used to use EE'S, but moved for some reason, presumably a better deal.

Yep shocking and has been for as long as I’ve had a smart phone. Makes checking the accas at half time v. Hit or miss. Annoying.
