Why have our directors got long noses?................I did hear that Matt Paterson and SS are on 1500 a week from last years deals ..hence why PS wants them to go to free the wages up....Allegedly of course.:dim:

I loved the way Tara avoided mentioning last years accounts where we made a small profit

Was there any truth in the story that our wage bill for the year was cut this season to £1.3 million. Divide that by 52 weeks and then divide that by 22 squad players. Gives you an average weekly wage of £1136. Does that sound about right?

Does sound about right jamesmut2000, I think if Spencer and Paterson are on over £1,000 then at least some of out signings would have been expecting at least parity.

If we are losing 25k per week (as quoted) working that we play at home every other week... at £16.00 a seat we would need an extra 3100 added to the home gate which would mean we now need a higher gate to break even than we did when we come down out the Championship when RM quoted that 8k was the break even figure. I know seat prices are cheaper but this does not add up.

Im taking the answer of losing £100,000 a month with a pinch of salt. What about the 2 months when season tickets get renewed and we make £1,000,000?

along with the fact we didn't have any home games for ages due to the snow..

Without season ticket sales we'd be losing 200K a month.

You're assuming the other income streams (sponsorship, TV money etc) aren't also reduced.

If Scott Spencer got signed on £1500 that is mental, he was on the scrapheap, discarded by Rochdale, without a single professional goal to his name!

Not really, there were the past credentials to his name and to be fair, when he came in for us he certainly looked the part....making Peter Clarke look a right patsy has to be worth something surely!

Tara cleverly didnt state that. His actual words were along the lines of we have lost £100K a month since i have been here. If we are losing that ammount of money then the wage structure is all wrong AGAIN!

If our wage bill is larger than clubs in a higher division then I'd suggest our wage structure is all wrong.

There's some tiny Clubs in the division above. Our wage bill will be above that of Dagenham and Yeovil. Our income is likely to be higher as well and those Clubs are likely to be losing money like we are.

The clubs income is minimal. 5000 attendances, 3500 of which are season tickets, which the club had the money for a year ago which went on paying for Ron's Bentley previous debts/HMRC

THerefore we have income about the same as a conference club with a highish wage bill. Could quite easily understand losing £100k a month, however this should not equate to a £1.2m a year loss as implied by Tara

I will state now ( and actually I don't give a toss about a law suit on me) ..Tara is another muppet hooked in by RM the salesman...he is here to recover his loses. He is a Portsmouth fan trying to salvage some of the monies he lent RM.

I am with Ken tomorrow night for a chin wag with Tara....

RM says something which turns out not to be true ? Adds up perfectly to me.

John, can I ask how you are intending to approach this drinking sesh with Tara tomorrow night?

Will you start it off something like:

"Hello, thank you for the invite, so nice to meet you, can I buy you half a shandy?"

Or are you thinking of going more down the line of:

"You are a muppet sucked in by Ron's lies and you're only in it to get your money back!!"

I'm just wondering as it could affect how the rest of the evening goes....

... and will we get a full transcript in the morning? :spread:

let's see if you come out of the meeting with a brown nose, just like you did after your meeting with RM...

losing 100k a month since tara got here. how many home games have we played in that time?! the majority have been called off so all the extra income has been wiped out. plus season ticket money. i doubt we're really losing that a month on average over the season....if we are then god help us.
