Surely the goals we conceded against Gillingham and Doncaster were caused by us pushing too far forward, rather than a lack of pace at the back.

It doesn't matter how much pace you have, if you are left 4 on 3 you will struggle. This is why Mark Bentley is so important. He gets back so quickly that he stops the ball being played early.

If a midfielder runs at us Benno will get a tackle in and either stop the player legally, or concede a free-kick. This protects the back 4.

He only lays the ball off to Duncan Jupp though!

If Bradbury was our best player, can you please tell me what end product he produced?

For all his nice touches he doesn't do anything with it.

Its Sodje's positioning that may have prevented the 2 goals, he's second to none for spotting the danger and his pace allows him to get back and block/tackle any attempts from the opposition, i think we would be up if he had been fit.

Bring back Bentley as well or Cole on the left and Gower on the right, maybe Bradbury up front in place of Goater. We need to take on players and get in dangerous areas down the wing and its not being provided, both Bentley or Cole do this, would favour Bents myself for his work rate and defensive qualities.

As I posted yesterday, a lot of the problems they caused us on the counter was down to the fact Hunt either couldn't get back quick enough or he couldn't be arsed to get back quick enough. I wouldn't like to say which but he was jogging back slowly whilst we were being ripped apart by Guy and Coppinger time and time again. Efe would've bust a gut to get back, no doubt about it. He would've given us an awful lot more passion than we got yesterday as well, summed up by the loud high pitched scream of "f%&king hell!" coming from him sitting on the bench as another ball was lost.

I'd also join the group who would love to see Bradbury alongside Freddy. Bradbury has the touch of class that would set Freddy up a treat. He wins balls in the air, and he clearly is a very intelligent footballer. He's far more mobile than the Goat and that might just be vital in these last 2 games.

Please Tilly, Bradbury up front and Cole on the left!

At least he has a first touch.

It's about time you got over your love for Bentley. On the right wing he does the same job as Bradbury, ie adds muscle to the midfield, wins alot in the air and gets in the box. That's about it.

FWIW its worth i think we need more creativity, the only players we had starting against Donny who can create something from nothing are Eastwood and Gower, if they are both having off days we don't look like scoring. Think we could do with Cole one side, Gower the other and Eastwood up top with Bradbury.

Should Tilly change the team or keep it as was? If I was making the changes it would look something like this:

                              Flavs

               Wilson   Hunt   Barrett   Jupp

               Gower   Gutts   Maher   Cole

                       Bradbury  Eastwood

Subs: Goat, Lawson, Gray, Petts & Bentley

I'm not knocking the Goat by dropping him, but reckon he could do with a rest, saving his best for the last game against Bristol City.  If things don't work out then after 65 mins we could maybe bring on Gray for Gower and Bentley for Gutts.  Just a thought.

I don't believe Tilly will make too many changes (if any) for the Swans game to be honest, and that may not be a bad thing.

UP THE SHRIMPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: I reckon this should go on the other thread!!!

Telling tilson to go is going too far mate. Ive said a lot of negativity about the last games but saying tilson out is going way too far

Are you for real? Tilson out? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. He's the best manager this club has ever had. Moron.

Its all too easy to have a bad run and start talking about missing one player, or blaming those that play. However the reason I feel is far simpler. The team are just under huge pressure and the stress has affected their game.

Whilst Sodjes absence does have a detrimental effect Hunt has done ok, and if he hadnt been injured I have no doubt we would still be in the same situation we are. The team havent suddenly started playing badly because of one player.
