Nice ground to visit, with a huuuuge car park, at least the one I was in when I was there a few years ago v The Arsenal.

Sorry to say I believe we have a real problem not unlike the breakdown between Manager (Mourhino of course) and the Chelsea players at the start of last season. We could debate this ad infinitum (exact cause, contributory factors, impact of players that departed in the close season, lack of time with new players/team i.e. give PB more time, other poss solutions etc etc) but there's only one way we'll really solve this. Sorry PB, time to move on.

Oh dear! It looks like we may have dodged a bullet not going for Brownie afterall:smile: so what's going wrong for you lot?

Looking forward to next Saturday, I think Brownie will get a great reception.

Well we did warn you Gaz!

It'll be a weird day for Brown. Cheered by 3 sides of the Macron while his own fans call for his sacking in the away end as we slip to yet another defeat. :nope:

Six of us making the trip,i fear being on the end of a tanking, hope not.UTB
Tbh, I don't think it'll be a tanking! We have had some bad injuries already, with losing Pratley, Mark Davies and Zach Clough. We badly need a few more additions by Wednesday's deadline, like a backup central defender, a winger, a central midfielder and a goal poacher.

Fleetwood gave us big problems in the first half last week, but we eventually came through in the end.

Like I said on another thread, Brown seems to get good results in a 'big game' against 'big teams', Sheffield United anyone. Let's not forget he was begging for the Bolton job so he'll want to show them what a managerial genius he is. Don't be suprised by a win!

yes, god help us. Planned to get so boozed on the train up there that we don't remember the game or better yet even make it in the ground.

Bolton are undefeated and Sheffield utd are dreadful. Big difference tbh.

I've decided after Saturday to give it a swerve and do a bootsale instead. How times change.

Good one less negative person there that won't boo the players and manager after 1 minute if we not winning

Yeah. Make sure you keep singing Phil browns barmy army after bolton score their fifth of the day.

Ps I'll boo any player that that walks round the pitch and earns a couple of grand to just put zero effort in.

I work my nuts off for vastly inferior wages and would get the boot if I performed as badly.

And also seeing as you presume to know me. Will you still be getting behind Brown after many more dreadful performances?

The bloke is a clown. End of.

I have a solution to having to watch a dreadful game... Drink all day leading up to the game and then you essentially forget all the bad bits whilst enjoying the day out! I haven't had a bad away game since!

With all this anomosity and unnecessary Booing at Saturday game, is anyone actually going to the Bolton game on the 3rd or will it just be myself and two kids. I'm just curious as to how many we could expect to see there. Hopefully a fair few will make the effort
I'm there already.................bit early ?

Looking at my diary for this week, It seems that the coming weekend is totally free of weddings, birthdays or anniversaries. Also, as far as I am aware, there are no births or deaths within my immediate circle, forecast for this weekend. The possible exception could be the dog. I redecorated the lounge earlier this year and we have talked about having a new lounge carpet fitted, but can’t really move ahead with this idea until the dog dies. He doesn’t seem too bad at the moment, and I’m sure he will be able to soldier on for another few weeks at least.

This is great then, I have been retired for a couple of years now and I have learned to love doing nothing. In my opinion, there are few things more exhilarating than having nothing to do.
I then turned to the fixture list in the hope that we would have a home game this Saturday, preferably against Sheffield United, but anyone else would do. I am anxious to make my debut for this season and see for myself how things are. I have absolutely no reason to doubt any of you but I’m sure you will agree that there is nothing quite like seeing for yourself. Oh no! Bolton away! Oh well, that’s what it will have to be then.

I’m 99% sure that I will be there but there is one small obstacle to be overcome before I can be certain. Mrs Shamash decreed a few years ago that I am not allowed to travel outside Essex unless I am accompanied by one of the grandchildren or a responsible adult. The reason for this restriction is too embarrassing to relate on here, we just have to accept that this is the current state of play. Life will be much easier for me when we are competing in the Essex Senior league. Mrs S has only a very hazy idea of the geography of the British Isles. For example, in July, we spent a very enjoyable week on the Isle of Wight but Mrs S thought we were on the Isle of Man. So, up until the end of last year, I would have easily been able to convince her that Bolton was a small town just north of Chelmsford, but sadly not now.

I have done some monumentally stupid things in my time and the most recent of these was buying, for Mrs S, one of these new fangled all singing, all dancing mobile phones at Christmas last year. The b----y thing knows everything. All the answers to the mysteries of life are contained within it, and Mrs S consults it all the time. It would take Mrs S only a couple of clicks to work out that Bolton is nowhere near Chelmsford. It’s okay though, I enjoy a challenge and I have a few days yet to come up with a cunning plan.

what a disgraceful attitude - next your be singing at the back with some bloke banging a drum

I'll be there and can't lose from the day

Win, hell even get a point and that's another towards our survival attempts. Lose or lose heavily and it could finally signify the end for Brown @ Bolton of all places, poetic justice me thinks!!!
