With the somewhat lack of faith that Tilson is showing in Paterson, I wouldn't bet against him being flogged off. He's seemingly coming in for the Hooper treatment.

Don't see where you get that from. From the get-go Paterson has been one for the future. It would be great if we had a nice safe mid-table position, so we could bring him on gradually, but the poor sod has been dumped into the middle of a de-motivated relegation bound squad, and hasn't had the luxury of being introduced at a reasonable pace. The result is that he is struggling somewhat as todays performance would indicate.

Give him a good pre-season, don't burden him with the expectation of being the next Freddy or the next Hoops, and by the end of next season we could have a decent young striker on our hands.
