Nothing to do with the book, just my genuine feeling on the strikers.

I don't know if it has got anything to do with getting older, but the standard just seems to get lower and lower.

I shudder to think how many goals a Crowny in his pomp would get in today's game.

When I see players like Adam Le Fondre going to Reading in the Championship for £500,000, and then realise that Mr Crown never played above the lower divisions, it just doesn't seem right. I'm sure he would now.

As for Big Roy, he wasn't everybody's cup of tea, but the fact he partnered so many high-scoring strikers proves his value to those teams. That was my point!
