Wouldn't we all.  I think it's fair to say that that's unlikely to happen for at least another season, and possibly longer... I understand that he is highly rated at the Boleyn.

Wouldve been my first name back

How about that Wrexham winger, Edwards was it ?
He ran circles round us and had lightning speed. And with Wrexham going down ............
Agogo is the only guy I've left the Hall and thought 'he stood out...'. Those we were supposed to admire were a disappointment really. But not Agogo.

He's gone to Luton. Can't say I was too impressed with him. Certainly didn't show the same quality as Bullock the year before.

Damn, beat me too it.

I'd agree with that, Bullock was better than Edwards. Edwards was causing us all sorts of problems until Petts was swapped over the that side, thus cutting off their supply line from Edwards. The same thing may have happened to Bullock if Petts had played wide left instead of Gower for that match, but thats all ifs and buts.

Shevchenko to partner Freddy up front. Roberto Carlos to give Cheese some competition at left back and John Terry to partner Adam Barrett in defence.

Apart from that, we're just fine!

I'd love to see Paul Hayes partner Freddy. He's on the brink of leaving Scunny after rejecting a new deal. Barnsley and Yeovil want him though supposedly.

As I've mentioned before, I'd like to see us give Mitchell Cole of Grays a go. Admittedly it might be slightly difficult as there were Arsenal scouts watching him in the Trophy Final on Sunday, but I'm sure that'd be probably 2 steps too far for him. He's the 19 year old cousin of Joe Cole, who was formerly at West Ham with Freddy, as well as obviously being with him at Grays at the start of this season. He's an old fashioned left footed left winger who loves taking on his man and using his lightning pace to scare the wits out of defenders. He wears some pretty flash red and white boots as well.

Yeah you're right - if we got promoted he just wouldn't hack it in League One. Plus, he'd want to take over free-kick duties and we have so many other gifted players in that area.

Nicky in your first XI in League 1. I very much doubt it, however well he played on Saturday.

Apparently, Bullock is off to Carlisle and as Andy says that Edwards has gone to Luton. Roycie's a no-go and Powell is a no-go.

We need a genuine winger, perhaps one for each side (especially if you know who aint here next season) another striker. Agogo would be superb but we've got 2 hopes with that one. Another versitile defender and Smithy will be like a new signing if he ever plays again !

Yeah - look at this amateur

Carlos Free Kick vs France

How long ago was that?! I mean Maher scored free kicks too, Hull at home??? Admitted it was an acident, but still I enjoyed it. Plus it was against Barthez so clearly doesn't count!

That weren't a free kick. If you on about the goal he scored in front of the North bank into the keepers right hand side with his left foot?! That was a cross during open play.

Well if he were to ever play for us, which I would think is unlikely, he'd have to scrape the white boots otherwise he would be digging his own grave for his Southend United career before it even properly got going.

few players i think could do a job. dennis oli - freddies old striking partner at grays - supposed to a good player- didnt see the trophy final so cant comment from that. also did anyone see the conference semi with i think stevenage vs hereford. a right winger called brady - got a superb cross on him. i think he might be a golden oldie but worth a shot i suppose

I think some of you are being a little ambitious here. There is no way someone who has the quality of Carlos Edwards, Agogo or Chris Powell is going to come here next season.

Personally i think we should be keepeing an eye on the conference and non league where we have picked up players such as Gower and Eastwood. If these 2 had been at a league club when we tried to buy them there is no way we would have got them for 25k and 40k respectively.

When I first read that paragraph to there, I thought you were the ultimate pessimist!

As it is, i still reckon you're pretty pessimistic. Edwards for all his flair was hugely lacking in the final ball and Agogo is rumoured by BRFC fans to be pretty lazy. Powell's a class act but will he be able to carry on in the Premier$hite at his age if he was deemed surplus to requirements last year?

There's a very good setup in place at the club at the moment and I'm sure players can recognise this. I don't think any of the players listed so far (perhaps excluding Roberto Carlos) are out of our range. We've had big attendances, a good management team and we've been to Cardiff three time in a year and a half, more than most players do in a career.
