After my comment about the Sun on the Heather Mills thread, I was wondering what papers people read on a daily/weekly basis.....

I read the Sun purely as its something easy to manage early in the morning on the way to work and passes the train journey nicely, plus the Sudoku's are really easy which makes me feel brainy.

Do you like to read informative and accurate news stories, the sports sections or just ogle the women and their pups on Page 3?

The Times for me.

The Observer is only out on Sundays. Should be The Garudian throughout the week. Sorry to be picky.

You dont ever read a newspaper? Well if thats the case then you can just specifiy in your post like you just did!

fair enough, i used to read newspapers but I haven't done for years now. I hate tabloid sensationalism and I'm not particularly political or business minded to read any of the others.

I always buy the sun in the morning - and its well known across the floor that i do - and ill always get a lot of people dropping by my desk to flick through it and tell me what a trashy paper it is.

Well then if they are going to complain it is a trashy paper then tell them to keep their mitts off, or remove page 3 and see if they continue to drop by for a flick

Its more the irony of the situation that they will on a daily basis tell me how trashy it is while going over the paper. If i take out Page 3 theyll only see the tits everywhere else in the paper.
Im sure i can see carol vodermans nipple on page 3 today as well.

You missed the Metro, London Lite and the London Paper

Well I had a slight mental block when I was submitting my poll - im sure any I have missed can be posted - the London lite is quality, wins everytime over the London Paper. The text bit is the best obviously - but unlike the Sudokus in the sun, they are very hard and after starting the day feeling quite genius like from the suns sudoku, I end the day on a dumb note when I see I have only got 3 numbers in the grid......

Papers for people too tight to splash out on a proper rag.

I read The Times Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, The Guardian Tuesday and Friday. I swap around to get a bit of variety and catch the best columnists (although the 300 year old Frank Keating in The Guardian would be put down if he was a dog).

Get The Sun delivered to my desk at work but to be honest don't get much beyond Page 3 and Ally Ross (TV critic). And of course the good old Racing Post....

one of the few columnists I read, as well as Mrs Mills in the Sunday Times, Jeremy Clarkson in same rag and Charlie Brooker's Screen Burn in Saturday's Guardian

Charlie Brooker's Screen Burn in Saturday's Guardian

His 'Screen Wipe' on BBC4 is always worth watching too. Very harsh, but invariably spot on. Quite why the BBC bother censoring his swear words when it's on well after 11pm is beyond me though...

I dont have a long enough attention span to read these papers as the words look so tiny....plus my arms arent big enough for the big papers anyway....

The Times is now tabloid size though  Guardian is a little bigger admittedly, 'Berliner' size they call it.
