I dont see Harris or Benyon being able to play as a single striker.

Either time for flood to be given a chance or for us (hopefully) to play with two up front.

Is there a problem with Harris and Sampson starting up front again? PS has also used Hall in that position but I'm not sure that's a good idea.

I was basing it on Sampson not being here, if his loan gets extended then yes Sampson/Harris is the probably the best duo.

If he is here then he may use him as the one up front.

Interesting that threads have started about strikers and lack of goals since Dicko has been injured when in fact he only has 6 goals in open play from 30 appearances while Phillips, Hall, Mohsni all have more.

It is indeed a worry as to where the goals will come from however, especially in the home matches where you need more quality and creativity to break teams down. Lets be honest Hall and Mohsni are streets ahead of everyone in terms of ability and scoring/creating goals and without those two then we look pretty impotent and if we continue with the same current line up then we really will struggle. You can always score one from a set piece but I was thinking on Monday that if we did go behind then how and earth are we going to get 2?

Whilst I am no great fan of Dicko, he will certainly be a loss if Harris doesn't get his act together, his performance on Monday was woeful and he must improve. The last 11 games won't be pleasant viewing if he stays in the team and performs like he has done all season, he can go on about team spirit all he likes but you do need quality as well. I agree with DTS in his 'papering over the cracks' thread, Dicko just about ok, the rest of the strikers haven't performed.

The real key though is Ryan Hall, in the home games especially, our hopes all season have rested with him , he plays well and so do we and his set pieces are also vital for the likes of Phillips etc.

Gary Alexander signed for Crawley, wouldve been a good signing. We need to look at sending Sampson back and get someone in who knows this division.

Waste of time sampson, clueless and very ordinary at div2 level. dont know:soapbox: what bolton see in him, send him back ps. Play benyon with harris up front together. We need goals quickly, we aint going to get many with just one stricker at home, that negative tactics.

I feel sorry for the likes of Benyon and Harris in our system - they will never score many unless our main target man is playing well. Harris has been one of our few goal threats this year and we look a better team with him in it. His intelligence creates space for others although granted he was not great Monday.
