Question Where should the drums and flags be at RH?

Where should the drums/flags be at RH?

Or like I have said we should continue until we are at fossets to support AWAY fixtures more

OK.I've often thought about this so here goes.
The best place for a drummer would be in the South Lower. The sound of that big drum would be heard easily through the whole of the ground from the Southend fan point of view.
They say the East is too quiet? -well that's because we have no Blue Voice there and can't really hear the drum.

I sometimes get the East Reds going by copying the beat by thumping the prawn sarnie boxes behind me.It really does work and people sing along!!

From my seat up the back (East reds are on the opposing dugout side in the middle) you can just about hear TBV,there's not a lot of noise being made to the left of me(towards the South stand) and to the right of me i can see True Blue and about 2 or 3 of his mates singing their little hearts out but many are reluctant to join in.
If i join in with True Blue's efforts then i'm on my own and my voice stands out!

So....a,put drums in the West with guys who can lead the singing.b,put a couple of TBV members next to me in the middle of the East and with True Blue and his mates down the end we will make Roots Hall loud.

Where i am i'm at the back row where legroom is restricted and standing is unoficially allowed so it's ideal as there's ALWAYS 2 or 3 seats available there.

East stand singing??! Ha give me a break!

nothing wrong with east stand... i enjoy my view without any posts in the way and near enough to see whats happening on the bench.. and if the blue voice was situated either in the east stand or south lower i'll think you'll find a lot more people would join in from the east anyway!!

East Blues. As close to the away fans as possible and as far away from the west as possible. if you can get the east rocking everywhere else does too, the old place comes alive and its brilliant. Remember Norwich anyone?

a section should be in each corner of the ground to try and get the songs to spread

And get all sorts of abuse for things out of our control?..

I don't blame the Blue Voice for last night. You get iditos at every match and they'll probably follow the Blue Voice wherever they go. I think near the away fans is the best place for them to be and it's where everyone associates them with. As someone mentioned in another thread, last night's problems were partly due to it being a midweek cup game with kids getting in cheap and going in the empty seats in block V.

South Stand would be great, but logistically i'd say over in the West is where TBV will have to stay put until we get into FF. Shame there were some idiots there last night doing their utmost to tarnish the groups image - but keep the chin up Smiffy and don't give into them. You and the other lads have done a sterling job since the days of initially coming up with the idea on here. I for one love coming over and sitting in TBV section for a sing song, and getting to put my flag up on the seats. The matchday experience is all the better because of your work - so well done mate, and keep up the fantastic work.

Surely the least number of season ticket holders are currently in the south lower? thus the least ag to move there?

I've gone for South Lower but I don't know the block numbers over there. I understand why TBV is down that end of the West stand but it does mean that the rest of the West can't see you. Behind the goal in SL you would be visible to East and West stands where the majority of people sit.

I agree that the idiots will always follow you around but if the rest of us can see them perhaps we can help drown them out.

I don't think you'd be able to relocate in the family section of the West but SL would get you closer.

There's a reason South Lower has least number in, because it's still classed as part of the Family Enclosure. There aren't going to be too many parents bringing kids along that will want this going on around them and that's the issue. You also can't have it too near the kiosks so the corner of South/West is not a good idea. Volume wise if we can't have the North, personally I would have thought South upper is best, preferably in the middle but then the drums have to be got up the staircases and there may be lots of STHs up there that wouldn't like it. I tend to think it's going to have to be bite the bullet and stay put for the rest of the time, unless you can get on the East/South end bit.

I don't generally get involved with TBV threads, but my honest opinion on this is that wherever TBV locate themselves they will attract an element who think that turning on our own players is acceptable. I'd have thought a better option would be for TBV to drown this element out with their own noise and support. I'm sure it's difficult when we're all depressed about what is going on at the pitch but if there was ever a time when encouragement was needed it was surely at 3-2 or 4-2 down against Orient with our new goalkeeper getting abused.

I think the point that Smiffy is trying to make is that TBV need to get all the supporters behind the team and their efforts of encouraging fans to do so is being spoilt by so called "supporters" who come to all our home games and abuse them, which in effect is putting the players down. TBV are trying their best to improve the atmosphere but they need our help more than ever.

you need to keep it where it is really, season ticket holders take up parts of South Upper. Given a choice I would put it as near to the North West Corner as you can get, which used the acoustics of the building material...which is basically block X i guess
