I will give you a FACT or two. I've done over 100 grounds, the Withdean is without a shadow of doubt the worst I have ever seen at League level. Worse than Maidstone, worse than the Shay, worse than everywhere. I went, primarily to tick it off the list today. I've studiously avoided it for years and I certainly wont be going back. I think that's the view of pretty much everyone who has been there. It's a dreadful day out.

Secondly, your support. The Orient exodus the other week aside, I am struggling to think of any other occassion where a support has risen, en bloc, and left after conceding. It was utterly pathetic.

Hadn't been to this "ground" before though had obviously heard plenty about it! The Goldstone might have been crumbling, but at least it was a proper football ground, and I've seen many matches between the two sides there.

It's quite obvious that it was the frankly blatantly rip off price of £20 a ticket to go to a ground where you are half a mile from the goal at the other end that puts people off going. Top marks to all the Brighton people in the Sportsman though, decent people up for a chat - learn a lesson Spartan!
