Caught my first smoothound from the Southend shoreline last night. Not the biggest caught but it’s something of my bucket list

I may spend it on an executive luncheon today.

Rain, what rain? Nothing in sunny wickford yet.The rain made me happy. Need a lot more now. I help some old people that can't mow their lawns. They have been moaning about the dry state of their lawns. I have told them their lawns will recover over the winter, but we really need the rain to get some life and green colour back into them.
We had a short burst of about 15 minutes. But the good news is.....THUNDER. ''Come on rain, let's go. '' I can't believe I'm talking to the rain. I put it down to old age.Rain, what rain? Nothing in sunny wickford yet.
Couple of distant rumbles of thunder. Weather app kept saying rain in 5 mins - but nothing. Looking at the radar it appears it was raining to the north, east and south of us!!We had a short burst of about 15 minutes. But the good news is.....THUNDER. ''Come on rain, let's go.
