Question What is making you happy today?

I apologise if I’m out of touch, being a child of the very early 70s, but are Indian takeaways around here open on Christmas Day, assuming you’re local?
Sounds like a great idea for next year.
I think you'll find most Indian takeaways open!
In normal times restaurant would be as well!
Same goes for Chinese they are often very busy on Christmas day.

@Cricko Inc. On Saturday, following a power surge, we lost a electrical circuit in our kitchen which I had installed 40 years ago in a stud wall. None of the sockets were returning correct power and it appeared that we had a broken wire somewhere within the wall. I rang Cricko and he arranged for one of his skilled sparks to get in touch, which the sparks did today. Me and her had the big concern that one side of stud wall would have to be taken out to find the offending wire, but we hadn't reckoned on the sparks. He found the break, fixed it with only a small hole in the plasterboard (which he camouflaged by inserting an extra double box in the hole), reconnected everything and we are now back in business. That you John and Garry for a job well done and so quickly.

Really proud of my son

My son left uni in the summer, he doesn’t know what he wants to do and had planned to go round the world. Obviously that’s out the question and getting a job is challenging at the moment.

He is presently doing up an mx5 and has come quite an expert on them which gave him a business idea.
In the last 13 weeks he has bought/sold 9 ( including 10 days isolation plus Xmas and new year) ,he presently has four in stock which will start to go up for sale next week. each needs a degree of work before going up.
He is averaging a profit of £1200 per car, on cars costing sometimes only £450. Most cars sell in 48 hrs- longest 8 days
One buyer came back a month later with a mate who bought one as well ?
He doesn’t want to do this for a living but at the moment it’s £1000 a week tax free and largely risk free ( sorry I won’t explain why as he doesn’t want others to copy his model).
If he continues in a couple of months we will look to see if it makes sense to do this as a proper business and expand into other cars ,but that then means premises and bills

Great stuff! Best of luck to the young fella.

Still working, the world and his wife seem to have decided that lockdown is a great time to be selling and looking for a new home and we're absolutely mad busy! Bizarre how some people's minds work.
