Question What is making you happy today?

Happy to do some local tourism yesterday.Went to visit Minerve (about a 20 minute car ride away). So nice to be able to go out and visit places again and not just shop for essentials.

Well, we only went and clocked up our fastest walk and paper time this morning, shaving five minutes off our previous best. It obviously helped having two cups of tea before we set off, one of which had half a spoonful of sugar in it.This undoubtedly increaed our energy levels, hence the improved time. Tomorrow I'm going to experiment with a bacon sandwich pre walk.

I feel like you’re taking the ****

Went on a long (ish) walk on the towpath of the canal du Midi at Capastang late last night. As A1 Benfleet says it's the little things which will get us through this crisis.

Just finished staining the sub wooden frames on the front of our house. The house faces south so they dry out a horrendous rate. Any way, I survived being up the telescopic ladders and also got a coat of black paint on the lead under the sills. May sound like an easy job but I've reached that age where it's hard graft. I'm doing a passible impression of a boiled lobster now but content that it's all done for another year.

That reminds me, I should varnish the brickwork on our front/back terraces, which are not south facing, unfortunately.Bit difficult to do when you're 300 kilometres away.:Thumbs up:Still the wife's got me lined up to varnish the garden shed and paint the shutters in her gîte next week.

The council have finally taken our garden waste!! Only another 4 weeks until the next one and it’ll be full by the end of the day

I've just been given the number 4 clippers haircut by Mrs RHB. No longer look like Worzel Gummidge on a windy day.
