My boss had his window broken two weeks ago, last week the car was nicked.
Apparently they break the window to install a small device , often under the a seat, which immobilises the tracker and frees the keyless locking .

This all happened in a station car park, so no amount of faraday bags would have helped

Keyless cars with the advancements in thief technology, are the easiest modern cars to steal.

What the hell is going on between Tarpots & Sadlers Fram Rdbt?. Since Tues there has been one lane coned off, due to a workman drilled hole in the road.
It's only about a yard deep, no water or anything coming out of it, so why on earth hasn't it not been filled in after 2 days?.
I go through there around 07. 20am, & it takes me an extra 10 mins. So heaven knows how long the delay is, around 8am when the traffic is heavier??.

It always amazes me when in a busy stretch, the road work stops for long periods of time, with a lane or two blocked off, causing long traffic jams and delays. In this day and age, when communication to get materials and maybe extra man power, why does it take so long? Also, some firms work at night, with mobile floodlights, and some pack up about 5pm. Why? Working at night gets the job done quicker. Surely it's worth the extra pay involved.

Hacking/Happy bit of both.

MK Jnr was unwell last night, unable to sleep, crying, so at 10.30pm I drove into work (not far) to get my laptop to work from home. She gets up at 7am this morning, bright as a button and wants to go to school.

So I have to cycle into work with said laptop (which is a big old beast).

Kids! :Angry Mob::ROFL:

I cycle 10 miles each way with a Dell laptop, a 15" Macbook Pro, change of clothes and shower kit on my back. Half of this distance is off road and I am always into the wind for one leg of the journey.

You need to reach over the top and stop complaining.

Cycled past Chalkwell beach around 4:30pm and all the kids who had finished their GCSEs were having a party.

Now I am a party person but I found the language and blatant drug/alcohol use fairly shocking consider these kids were 15/16.

No problem with a few beers but swigging vodka out the bottle mid afternoon is asking for trouble and it wasn't just one bottle. Lots of girls were had their own 75cl bottle.

There must have been 300 kids and two coppers to sort it all out. For once I felt sorry for the members if the bowls club rather assuming they were all *redacted due to no politics rules*

If your one of the 300, you'd probably say your not causing a disturbance, just having a 'jolly' time. Irrelevant of underage drinking, smoking spliffs etc.
What the hell can 2 'Old Bill' do?. A solitary wasp buzzing around, would have instilled more fear amongst them!.
No doubt being young responsible teenagers, they disposed of all their empties in the waste bins provided, & staggered home, to await some mega headaches.
As for the Bowling Club members, no doubt topic of conversation was ' bring back the birch' , 'National service' etc!. And blamed the distraction for a poor performance on the green?.
But a more serious point to ponder, is how these youngsters were able to get all the booze?. Obviously got older mates I guess?.

My daughter has told me of the odd party for that age that has got out of hand in the Shoebury and Thorpe Bay area's. I asked the same thing, how are they getting all the booze? She said they all know the odd shop that will sell it to them without any age check.
