Absolute arseholes! You have the name of the person booking and where they were picked up or taken to? Go back to these places, or put the name on Facebook - worked for hubby on New Year's Eve when someone did it to him! Worth saying they may have used fake details though if you do - chances are someone connected to the name/address will know who they are.

Absolute arseholes! You have the name of the person booking and where they were picked up or taken to? I know it's a bit late now, but can't you turn on the child locks on your taxis (if they exist?). You'd have to get out to open the door, but they couldn't do it themselves.

They would had got raped by an UBER driver. They were picked up at the WHSmith rank and dropped off on the corner of Fairfax and Hainault Ave.
The taxi company has a name and telephone number, but no address as they wanted picking up where they got dropped off.

Another moan about taxi passengers - out of area, booked a cab one way to Southend Airport from Leigh using a Benfleet company. Hubby goes to pick them up as they requested a multi seater, all good. Male passenger asks if he can pick them up on return. Obviously, he agreed.

He's gone to pick them up today, text them on landing to say where he will meet them. No reply. 20 minutes later he gets a call from the office to say they've cancelled as they've got someone else to pick them up. No apology, nothing. they must have known before they took off. The cab company boss has had a blazing row with them and told them they're bang out of order - result...they've now been barred by all the Benfleet cabs and those that use Southend Airport.

Just a thought on the taxi front; can you pay by card in a taxi? How about the customer puts a debit card in the card thingy and the fare is automatically charged (at some petrol stations, you can put a debit card in before filling) I realise there's cost involved to do this but big taxi companies could do this. Or ask for payment up front (I imagine a fare is estimatable) and the driver pays change at the journey end (e.g. a £10 payment before a journey for £8 fare).

I have a card machine, the customer pays at the end of the journey with an additional £1 charge for fares under £20 and 5% for fares over £20. This is still a gamble as there isn't a lot we can do if the person has no money on their card unless we take payment upfront for out of town work. For in town work it's just a gamble regardless on how people want to pay.

I had surgery on mine in December. I was expected to be playing again mid-March, but I'm still not. It really isn't healing. I went back to the surgeon who is still confident that the surgery hasn't failed but told me to go back to him if it's still bad in 6 months. It's very frustrating...
