What are you playing right now?

I picked up Gran Turismo 5 at the weekend. Racing games aren't generally my cup of tea but I figured if somethig took five whole years to make it must be good, right?

Well anyway, it's awesome. I really wasn't expecting to be sucked into it the way I have been. I can't wait to get home tonight and play it. So much more addictive than I was expecting.
Driving the premium cars is just mindblowing, the graphics and handling are amazing. Love the Nurburgring in the rain, incredible. However as Markw says, the standard cars with jaggidy shadows takes away from it a bit

Well the last racing game I owned was Grand Prix on the Amiga (What a game that was, btw). The standard cars look pretty amazing, to me, but because I didn't have GT4 I don't really have anythnig to compare them to.

I'm much more interested in gameplay than anything. The fact I've been utterly blown away by the graphics (whether or not that is down to my low expectations) is a massive bonus.

Good old Geoff Crammonds Formula One Grand Prix, great game and still have a boxed copy in the loft.

I'm currently playing through Zelda: Link to the Past again, may do Final Fantasy 6 and 7 afterwards.

PS3 RES 5 and MArvel Ultimate Alliance . Oddly i foudn out this is one of those games that never loses its value that much and quite rare for trade in's ???

Right so I watched Kick *** on Saturday and I woke up next morning in the mood for some superhero-action and, despite owning eight or nine unplayed games which I really needed to get my teeth into, I decided to go out and buy Batman: Arkham Asylum. I'd downloaded the demo when it first came out but never played it and this game was barely on my radar at all, to be honest.

To me though this is the first game since the first Metal Gear Solid that I really can't find a flaw in. I read that some people weren't happy with some of the boss battles, including the last one, but I enjoyed them all and found them all a challenge. If I'm picky then I'd say that I think the shoulder buttons would have worked better the other way around (with the controls for L1 and R1 reversed for L2 and R2) but that might be just me.

I blitzed through most of the game in one sitting and polished off the rest yesterday afternoon/evening. I never do that - even on games I enjoy I usually only do a couple of hours at a time. I couldn't put Arkham Asylum down.

I won't be leaving the sequel for two years.
