Bobby Analogue's Secondhand Sound Show featuring the return of the living legend of Retro, Rob Noxious! This little beauty has a cracking track from Frank Sidebottom and Bobby's story of how Frank tried to hypnotise him. More tales from the front line of rubbing shoulders with musicians, including Ray Davies' "don't say a word" look when observed in Aldeburgh, Noddy Holder's Wolves lament in a Baker Street boozer, Wreckless Eric's penchant for a Post Office audience in North Norfolk, Joe Strummer's love of a green and red cap in Camden and my forlorn attempt to buy Wilko Johnson a drink in a Brighton cinema. Crank it up, maaaaaaaaaaaaan! > http://www.mixcloud.com/BobbyAnalog...mail&utm_source=notification&utm_content=html

Stevie Wonder "mix" on my Ipod, doing a bum shuffle rather than throwing shapes around the office.

Stevie, where did it all go wrong? :whistling:

Despite doing everything possible to be a contender for the biggest **** in the world Sting will always get a pass from me for his portrayal of the Ace Face.

On the radio at the moment...

The Decemberists are my new favourite band. Thanks to Pickled Seal for the heads up for The King Is Dead....two amazing, instant albums (along What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World).

If I'd had known this a few months ago, tonight I'd be on my way to London to see them live...hey ho next time!

Ever had one of those “what the …” moments when you can’t believe a certain band or singer is covering a certain track? Well, here on Bobby Analogue’s Secondhand Sound Show, we’ve got a whole swathe of them! Originally broadcast on The Source 96.1FM, Bobby Analogue and his special monthly guest Rob Noxious joined forces to bring the great listening public an eclectic assortment of covers featuring: Iggy Pop, The Wedding Present, The Clash, The Who, Sparks, Stiff Little Fingers, Jackie Leven, The Cardigans, St. Etienne, David Bowie, Edwyn Collins and the wonderful Frank Sidebottom, to name just a few! We won’t name the tracks as they won’t be unexpected then. Listen to ‘Unexpected Covers’ almost live and join Bobby and Rob in amazed wonderment! > http://https://www.mixcloud.com/rob-spooner/unexpected-covers-almost-live-from-the-source-02315/
