Dave Edmunds is still making great albums, as this title track off his new cd proves.

Many thanks to Yogi for digging up the link to the full length documentary on Sixto Rodriguez (which I've sent on to our two daughters who are both big fans).:Worthy:

With my daughter in her Christmas Stone Roses T-shirt I'm in an 90's Indie mode, so listening to The Bluetones album in full. Been too long.

Got a new pair of headphones for Christmas and they have rejuvenated my music listening. Always used to be a big music fan but over the last 10 years as I hit middle age I lost touch. Now Im the typical Dad to my kids not knowing any of the songs they play (which isnt a bad thing as going by Now 86 my daughter got for Christmas the music scene is ****).

Getting the new headphones though made me start looking around over the weekend for new things to listen to, my normal listening seems to be stuck in a period from about 10 years ago and other than the odd band Ive barely listened to anything new. Started by looking at music critics top 50 of 2013 type lists and downloaded quite a bit over the weekend but this one song really took me, according to itunes I listened to it 18 times yesterday

Long time since a song has grabbed me in this way, and the rest of the album is decent as well.

Been listening to Screamadelica a lot lately. I can appreciate how brilliant it is much more these days than back when it came out. Stonking album indeed.

Most of the house and ambient/dub tracks still sound great. Moving on Up is just plain embarassing though, and I could do without Damaged and Come Together as well. 7/10.
