There's an African Music Festival in London this month. I saw Bukky Leo and Black Egypt at the Vortex Jazz club last weekend. It was excellent.

Ah.I was lucky enough to see Fela live,back in the early 80's, in the Midi.The recent NT musical on him was also excellent.Saw Tony Allen in Badalona a couple of years back.Impressive.

The Nighthawks are in town tonight.Don't think I'll be able to go as I've got a class this evening.But I saw them on their last visit here in 2009, in Primavera Sound, on the same bill as Neil Young and thought they were excellent.
