First track on his new cd Good for Mr Bad Hat,which also contains a dedication to none other than "Rob "Noxious" aka Shrimpero ("the Wolfman Jack of the South-West)for sterling evangelical work on behalf of the cause." :high five:
(nice pics of Old Leigh etc in the cd sleeve booklet too).

Ha - haven't had a chance to play my copy yet. Brilliant gig at The Ship to launch the cd last Saturday (7th).

A track from Bobby Charles last album Timeless, made when he was already seriously ill and released posthumously.Admittedly,it doesn't compare with his best material but there are plenty of well written and produced tracks on it.Featuring Sonny Landreth and Dr.John.

From Emmylou Harris.Hard Bargain. This particular song is about her relationship with Gram Parsons and is superb, as is the rest of the album. The best female voice in country music bar none.

Randy Newman.Live in London.(2008).This was recorded on the same European tour I saw him play in Badalona.According to The Observer "He may well be the greatest contemporary American songwriter".I used to argue that Dylan was better than him. These days I'm not so sure.

Don't worry I haven't flipped.:winking:
It's just that I had to do this song in the coursebook I'm using with a class. In the bad old days you had to bring in a cassette or cd of the original track(if you had it)as most TEFL coursebooks don't use the original but a copy instead for obvious copyright reasons. These days you can just type in the track on youtube and hey presto.
Makes even average disco songs bearable.
